We are sad to announce we closed this location on June 14, 2025. Please visit our original San Jose location at 3443 Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose, CA 95117. We will be expanding the location shortly. Thanks for the 14+ years of support. And please support Slice of Homage who will be taking over this location shortly. Back in 1998, I moved from NYC to San Jose to work at a big hi-tech company. Little did I know just how much I was going to miss my daily dose of za! Whenever anyone asked me what I missed most about New York, I would always say A Slice! The more I said it, the more I knew one day I would open my own New York pizza joint. I hope this also brings a slice of home to other transplanted New Yorkers!
Pizzeria turning out thin-crust pies in a space lined with New York City street signs & graffiti.

Update – went here years later and still fantastic pizza, service, and ambience. Definitely lives up to its name!
And you gotta love the theme. They have done a great job giving it a NYC pizzeria feel. ❤️
Fun, quirky NYC Themed decor. Very cute.
Got the following pizza slices:
Pesto, Mushroom, Cheese and buffalo chicken. All were excellent but the mushroom was my favourite.
Much admiration for their respect for workers. Keep it up!
The server even gave us an extra slice because one slice was coincidently a bit too thin.
Slices are a bit pricey than normal but the size is larger than normal slices as well. And they have extras like parm cheese, garlic powder etc in the back.
Highly recommend!!
I just got the Sicilian for the first time, and did not like that at all, though. It’s 90% bread and maybe 1% sauce. Definitely not extra sauce (there was a lot of cheese). Very dense and frankly a little hard to eat. It’s huge. Maybe it needed more toppings since I only added jalapenos.
I love their regular pizzas, but I’d advise steering clear of the Sicilian, at least the plain one.
We live very close to this place for years, but never been to this plaza. Tried it today to support local business and it turns out to be amazing pizza!! We tried personal size(10”) The City(combo) and Rockefeller (all meat). Both were great! It’s overloaded with topping, crust by the edge and soft dough in the middle.
Also, they charged 18% during covid to support employee – appreciated! The price is higher than other chain pizza stores, the quality is totally different level! You cannot never go back to those chain stores when you tried this.
Wish they can open during lunch time in future.
