Instead, this “carbonara” was served with red sauce. Poor server explains, “I’ve always seen it served with a red sauce.”
Also, menus do not display the latest prices – what is listed at $11 is now $18. That information is not disclosed until you pay.
Do yourself a favor, stick with the pizza and then steer clear of everything else.
My family has been coming to “A Slice of Brooklyn” since it opened. The food used to be good, and the service was decent—*until* last night. Now? I wouldn’t eat here if they were handing out free pies on the street.
We’ve spent *thousands* of dollars at this place over the years, especially during COVID when they probably should’ve been thanking loyal customers like us. But after last night’s fiasco, we’re done. We won’t be ordering here, we won’t be using them for business meetings, kids’ sports games, or ANYTHING, and you better believe I’ll be warning everyone I know about how abysmally this place treats its customers.
So, here’s what happened: we placed a massive order—multiple pizzas, subs, appetizers, the works. Well over $100. And what did they do? They forgot my niece’s food. No big deal, right? Mistakes happen. So I called them to let them know.
Instead of an apology, I got some cranky guy (not the owner, but definitely someone who shouldn’t be dealing with customers) who practically accused me of lying. He insisted he had “read the order back to me” and even had the nerve to imply I was trying to scam them for a few measly chicken fingers and fries.
Yeah, because after spending tens of thousands of dollars here over the years, my master plan is to defraud them out of a $10 plate of frozen chicken fingers. Genius.
And here’s the kicker: they made us pay again for the food they forgot. No apology, no refund, just another charge on the bill. I’m guessing they tacked on another delivery fee too, just to rub salt in the wound.
Well, congratulations, guy—you just lost a loyal customer and probably many more once word spreads. This place clearly doesn’t value its customers, and I’ll be making sure people know exactly how terrible their service has become. If you want overpriced pizza served with a side of condescension, go for it. Otherwise, take your money somewhere that actually deserves it.
Thin n crispy with good sauce to cheese ratio !!! The best pizza in Lancaster county !!!
