As a regular guest and a local resident of Palma, dining at A Popa has become one of my favorite pleasures on the island. It is, without question, one of Mallorca’s most spectacular restaurants — a true hidden gem within the elegant Nixe Palace Hotel.
The setting is simply extraordinary: dining by the sea with breathtaking views over the Mediterranean and the gentle sound of the waves creating a uniquely relaxing atmosphere. The cuisine, crafted with great talent and creativity by Chef Toni, is exquisite — refined Mediterranean dishes full of authentic flavor and presented with impeccable style. The cocktails are also superb, making the whole experience even more special.
A special mention goes to Francisco Serrano, the Hotel’s Director, whose dedication and attention to detail can be felt throughout the entire property. His leadership and warm hospitality ensure that every visit to A Popa and to the Nixe Palace is nothing short of exceptional.
For those who appreciate fine dining in an idyllic seaside setting, A Popa is an experience not to be missed — even for those of us lucky enough to call Mallorca home.

Another excellent dinner here. We had ceviche and the octopus tentacles to start. The ceviche was good and the octopus was excellent. We shared the sirloin and they split it for us which contributes to the excellent service rating! They are so great here. The views of the water and surrounding beach area are so nice. We love this place.

Everything was really good. The tapas were to die for. The main course was also very good. Only hiccup was the service wasn’t perfect. We were handed a food menu and a wine list, but no menu for drinks. By the time we were served it had been thirty minutes and instead of asking for a drink menu we just ordered all of our food and wine, because we we’re afraid of maybe waiting another long time before being served.
That being said I’m still giving 5 stars because after that the food came out super quick and was delicious. Also you cannot beat the view!!

The food was nice enough but nothing great. We had the beef paella and then the vegetable paella. They both took a long time to arrive and we had to follow up on our drinks. It was also very expensive here! It was around 6 euros for a small beer (not even a pint)!! However it is right by the sea and that was lovely to sit by the beach. There are worse places to go.

Food was flavorful, the sea-bass roasted in salt was fantastic. The service was lovely, they were all very welcoming, fun and professional and the gentleman who plated the fish was very skillful.

The food was not delicious and didn’t seem to be fresh. Terrace very close to the beach but maybe too close as you can hear music of people on the beach. Music in the restaurant is also not good and too loud. Service was very friendly though.
