A New Leaf is a health-based store that contains both a deli area as well as a mini market inside, with all foods catering to various health and diet related issues.
The market is fine, though a lot of the goods are goods you can find within a supermarket as well.
The deli was popular, and had a lot of things on the menu. However, there wasn’t any clear indication of prices. We ordered a single smoothie, the Coconut Mango one, and it was $10 for a smaller cup. That isn’t a big issue, but was a bit off-putting to see it be $10.
However, when we got it, it wasn’t that good at all. It was way too watered down, and for a Mango smoothie, it lacked mango taste, instead tasted a lot like pineapple which was included. We were very disappointed by this, and didn’t feel it lived up to the mission it was going for.

I used to go into this place a few years ago and really liked it, but today I didn’t have the best experience. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and granola balls online and when I walked in to pick it up nobody greeted me or helped me. I had to ask where I was supposed to go to get a pick up order. Then the woman cooking brought over my sandwich and didn’t say anything else so I had to ask about the granola and she just pointed to the refrigerator. Then when I sat down I realized the sandwich didn’t have bacon or avocado on it so I brought it back up and both workers seemed annoyed and said they were out of both items. I completely understand being out of things, but I wasn’t even told that the sandwich I ordered didn’t have some of the ingredients on it, and when I brought it to their attention they didn’t apologize or offer anything. I had to ask for a refund of the avocado. This in addition to the lack of friendliness or help felt disappointing because I used to love going in there.

This used to be my favorite spot as a celiac. I hate to leave a disappointed review, especially because finding dedicated GF spots is HARD. But Idk what has happened in the last few months and there has been a steady decline in quality. There has clearly been a change of staff (not the same folks from before) and although the news folks seem competent it is just not the same quality, efficiency, and service as the staff who were here before. We ordered our usual and it usually takes 15-minutes max (even when full) and I’ve been waiting for 35-minutes now and still nothing. The store is empty. People who have ordered to-go have come and gone, and I am still waiting. The girl at the register also said that they don’t bring the food outside to you, but that was never the case before. I was always told, or called over, to come inside. I’m just confused each time I come now and see things being done differently. The vibe has changed drastically. I also had to bring the outside chairs to the outside table because it was folded inside and not on the table outside. Again, not the usual. Very surprised. I really love this spot, and hope to see things start to improve for the benefit of the store and their success.
Just had to edit this after my food came out review:
Not only did I wait an unbelievably amount of time, they then got the order wrong, so I had to wait longer for the everything bagel that was missing, just to wait and end up with a normal bagel. My bacon, egg, and cheese was ALSO not a on an everything bagel.
I am not a picky customer. I am not one to ever be difficult. But I am truly confused about my last two experiences here and how difficult it has been.

I discovered this small health food store/ vitamin store/juice bar while looking for some gluten free options for my wife. They have a pretty good selection of brands I haven’t seen anywhere else. They have breads, cakes, muffins, cupcakes, different pastas, cookies, baking ingredients, and many other items. They also carry some muffins and other baked goods made by Twist Bakery in Millis, another great place for gluten free foods. If you have celiac I highly recommend checking this place out.

Fully gluten free place with lots of cold drinks and smoothies, as well as shelf stable and some freezer items.
The AC was welcome on this hot HOT day.

This place fricken rocks!! Everything here is gluten free. Everything is so good you’d never know!! We tried 3 different donuts (Apple fritter, pumpkin spice, cinnamon apple), a warmed cinnamon roll (have to get it heated – It’s amazing). We also got a protein shake, juice, and a couple chicken bacon sandwiches. Everything was 10/10. I was getting so full towards the end but didn’t want to leave anything unfinished.
2 different types of GF bread for sandwiches was pretty neat. And they use whey protein for their drinks. I love a good juice bar… they had SO many options and I was able to get all my favorite juice/smoothie ingredients. I’m a huge fan. If I’m ever in the area again, I will be stopping by!!

A gluten free paradise west of Boston! Everything on the shelves, in the freezers, and even their bakery and hot food (sandwiches) is all gluten-free! I picked up ritz-type crackers, egg rolls, and pierogies (along with some supplements). Will definitely return and update my review on the baked goods and sandwiches. Giving 5 stars since it’s incredibly rare to find such a massive variety of g-free items.

First review ever but this place has gone seriously down hill. Used to be such a good place for people who are gluten free – now you go in and not only are you paying an extreme amount for each product they then charge for an extra cup for a smoothie after spending $50. Don’t bother ordering online – you’ll arrive and they tell you “oops I didn’t get it” which is most likely because there are 6 people behind the counter with ear buds in, on their phones and eating rather than doing their job. We have been loyal customers for years but I think I’m giving up here.

Yeah I asked For A Chicken Cesar Salad and when I got my order in they gave me a Tuna Salad with cranberry’s I dislike cranberry’s and my cousin got pissed at the server because she saw that they do indeed have Cesar salads and I specifically asked for one with chicken on top and yes the other people working or not working were yelling laughing and speaking other languages that I could not understand and the lady who took my order said we don’t have Cesar salads and that’s when things get hard and she finally took my order and I also ordered a grilled cheese that was pretty good the cheese was rich and gooey which I like! I did tell the server to not waste food and eat the incorrect order but she threw it away! My cousin is gluten free so that’s the only reason why she liked the place! I wasn’t expecting it to be like a mini supermarket! The atmosphere is nice I do have to say! When the Salad Finally came it was good! My cousin tried a piece of chicken and she said it tasted Great! I found capers in my salad I’m not a Fan of them

The coconut mango smoothie was horrible. I work in the neighborhood so I thought it was a good idea to try it. Horrible. No taste I ended up throwing it out along with my coworkers who got the same thing. Won’t be going back
