This small business is on Hull St road in Richmond ,Vrginia. It’s located in a small brick strip mall that looks like businesses. Trust your GPS it will take you to the correct spot. Because the store front is not visible from the road.
This small local business has been in this area for 3 years. Patio seating is available.
R &b music can be heard when you enter. There is booth seating bar seating as well as table seating.
The owner and the cook and weight staff are very friendly.
You order by QR Code at the table or at the kiosk. You need to bring your card even though they do accept cash.
The potatoes are cooked in a cast iron skillet and taste homemade
Everything tastes homemade like a grandpa or grandma fixed it in their kitchen embroidered to your table.
Biscuits have a bit of cornmeal in it, and it gives a nice texture and taste.
A good southern home-cooked meal.Nice atmosphere, and a full bar.

This restaurant was amazing! My family and I went for lunch. We had the burger and fries, lemon pepper wings, southern wings, soul food egg rolls, catfish and fried shrimp. It was all good but those shrimps and wings though!!!! We will definitely be back soon.

When you hit your sister up to find a place for brunch and we end up at A.M. Kitchen

Some of you may know it by this name and some may not. They are a virtual restaurant with many different names that sells food from the same location. You must place your order online whether dining in or takeout. Scan QR code, order food, beverages, alcohol and also pay before food is made. Bar drinks must be ordered online also! Food selection is phenomenal. Nice soul music to enjoy while waiting! Great great prices!! My bill was only $47 bucks for everything pictured below.

We intentionally ordered a lot of different food for dine in and take out!!! No, we didn’t eat it all!!! Yes, we tasted everything! Food took a while to come out being that they are short staffed, were preparing online orders and everything is made to order. BE PREPARED—Order food ahead of time if going on a lunch break!! DO NOT WAIT

BEVERLY AKA Arykah was the Manager, Bartender, Server and had hands on with everything due to lack of staff! She rocked!!

TELL HER EBONY SENT YOU!!

Pictured in order

Strawberry Mimosa -Flavorful! I could’ve did 3 more but I’d rather have gotten home safe

Southern Fried Wings with french fries —SEASONED to perfection

Juke Boom Shrimp with Coleslaw—Phenomenal Little kick to the boom bang sauce but coleslaw will help with that

Chesapeake Omelet(Shrimp and crab galore) — woodshed potatoes and homemade biscuit. I would Smack your mama NOT MINE Delicious!

Flapjack—- Taste like a County fair funnel cake

Sister ordered (Not included in $47)
Meat lovers Bagel—- Mouth of flavor and the crispy realll bacon!
****THEY ARE ALSO HIRING FOR SERVERS, BARTENDERS,PREP and COOKS!!!!!

They were definitely short staffed and having a rough morning (they ran out of some ingredients and had to run out), but the food was delicious! Will definitely return.

Update – We went back today and it was absolutely delicious once again! Service was quick and friendly. A new favorite breakfast place for sure.

A.M. Kitchen is a hidden Gem. They are a Virtual Food hall and offer a huge menu. Today we had some West African food and it was legit. I’ve traveled all over West Africa so I know the real deal. The food was awesome and the service was 10 out of 10. I can not wait to go back. They have a huge variety of food so do your self a favor and look at their entire menu. They have Mr. Beast Burger, Arthur Treachers, Breakfast Chick and much more. Their menu is so robust I can not remember it all.

Had an okay experience. Walked in to an empty restaurant. Someone came out and explained that you order everything through the app. Asked for a glass of water, but was told I needed to purchase a bottle from the app. Biscuit sandwich was crumbly and hard to eat. Not too much flavor. Only powdered creamer for the coffee, no liquid creamer. But I can say the mimosa was delicious!

The atmosphere and the waitress were nice, but the food is not worth the price. The grits were old and lumpy. The oven fried chicken was OLD. When we asked for some new chicken the owner had the audacity to come out and tell us that we ordered oven fried chicken, while rubbing his fingers together trying to explain to us that it’s a different texture from fried chicken as if we didn’t know that. The issue wasn’t the texture the issue was that it was old and you could taste that it was old.

Would I go back? Unfortunately, No!

First time for my husband and I was a wonderful experience! Besides the table of loud older women, it was good. There were only 2 other tables of people while we were there, so or was nice that it was not crowded. We were there for our brunch date and we love trying new places like this! My husband read some reviews before choosing A.M. Kitchen and decided we should try it out. He saw they had good mimosas! We both tried a different flavor sine we couldn’t decide which to have so we could share. I hade the sunrise and he had Strawberry, his was a little thick on the Strawberry syrup, so we tried mixing it, but didn’t really work. It was still good just left a lot of thick syrup. The food was AMAZING, nothing like a southern home cooked meal made with love! We met the chef and she was so appreciative of our complements and she hugged us both! The music playing in the background set a good ambiance and we really enjoyed it. When we looked online the pictures did make it look a little bigger than it actually is, but with it not being crowded when we went it was good. We will be back soon for a double date!!

My first visit. Awesome experience! I ordered breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, cheese grits) with fried green tomatoes and boom shrimp to go. The breakfast was so delicious. Home cooking to the tee. I definitely plan on returning soon. (honestly I could eat food cooked like that everyday….I really felt it could have easily come from my mother’s, one of my grandmothers, or aunts’ kitchen). Yummmm…
