I don’t usually give a 5 star rating because I believe there is always room for improvement. However if I am in Glasgow Kentucky and I want a good steak. Then A Little Taste of Texas is always going to be #1 on my list . The Steaks are always cooked exactly like I want it and all of the sides are phenomenal. The service is excellent, friendly and professional. I will definitely give this restaurant my approval and a high recommendation.

A great restaurant for tasty food, friendly staff (Sara), and relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed the Chicken Taco Salad served over Cowboy Beans, and nacho chips, and the Texas Fork and Knife Burger, served with Cowboy Beans on the plate. The side of Coleslaw was creamy and delicious. (Beer and wine is not available, as their parking is shared with a local Church, so out of respect, no alcoholic drinks served.) We skipped dessert, but they all sounded delicious! If we’re ever back in the Glaskow KY area, we’ll definitely stop there again.

My husband and I had dinner here in this family-friendly restaurant tonight, with our 7 month old in tow. Our server, Theresa, we are convinced was an angel in disguise. While we were eating our delicious food (ribeye sandwich, country fried steak, cowboy beans, and fried okra—all of which we recommend), our baby got restless in her seat and we started to rush through our meal. Theresa came over and began to casually and graciously entertain our baby to buy us a few minutes to finish eating. When we ordered the pecan pie cobbler to-go, she encouraged us to enjoy our dessert there, with a gentle reminder that our baby was calm now and we could enjoy our dessert warm and with ice cream. Of course we took her advice and we were glad we did – the pecan pie cobbler is clearly best enjoyed warm and with ice cream! As we finished up dessert, Theresa brought us a couple of to-go drinks and bid us a good night.
Let the record state, Theresa is the backbone of this place, deserves employee of the month, and all the recognition for her outstanding customer service. The food is also fantastic.

We went here for dinner. The steaks were very tasty. But were very overcooked. Caesar salad was good. The fried mushrooms were fresh, not frozen. For some reason, they were served with a side of ranch and a side of horseradish which was an unpleasant surprise. Waitress took away our glasses for a refill and mixed them up to bring us back a mix of tea and soda, mixing up both the drink and the person. No one ever came to check on us after our food arrived, otherwise I would have ordered a properly cooked steak.
I was surprised to see so many young children here at 8pm.
Not sure this was worth the price.

Very nice local diner! The food is much better than average, and the service was superb. I found the desserts to be the best. The blackberry cobbler smothered with raspberry sauce made topped off the dinner. Check it out!

Tried A Little Taste of Texas and it was really good. I got the cowgirl steak and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned right. My boyfriend got the bacon burger and said the same about his. The coleslaw was really good too and the sweet tea was really good. It’s a small place but super cute with a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend trying it if you’re in Glasgow.

Great spot that gets busy quick! My wife and I were passing through town and found this gem. Service was on point, food was plentiful and delicious. I had the country fried steak, which was big, hot, and crispy on the outside. My wife had the half portion of catfish, also delicious and still had leftovers. Both entrees, with drinks and dessert came to $50. If you live in Glasgow and you haven’t eaten here, you’re missing out. If you live in the area, take a drive and enjoy a good meal.

No joke, best chicken-fried steak of my life. Worth the short drive from Cave City. As a Sooner, we almost didn’t stop because of ‘texas’ in the name but I’m so glad we did! Staff was great and took good care of us even as we were finishing up a little after they were closing from lunch.

The server was an amazing young man, the food was amazing and on point, I think the food was better than Texas Roadhouse. We were in Glasgow for a funeral and decided to stop and try before heading back to Louisville, so glad we did. We will definitely be back.
