We had a fantastic experience when Francis and Debra catered our wedding in June 2019. They worked with us to create a perfect 5 course menu with attention to every detail. From start to finish the experience was seamless and they and their team made our day wonderful! We received endless compliments about the food, and numerous guests said it was the best food that they had ever enjoyed at a wedding. The food was top notch, customer service and communication were exceptional, and servers and bar tenders were friendly. I would highly recommend Francis’ Restaurant to anyone planning a wedding!

Been a summer resident here for 48 years. They make some of the best pizza I’ve ever had and certainly the best on the island. The service for me has always been great but I can tell lately they are trying to do something about the perceived issues. I love a business that takes these reviews seriously and tries to fix them. This is a business I hope you support. The people and food are both fantastic.

Sent my daughter in to pick up a couple of pizzas, and when asking the woman behind the counter of the wait-time, she was incredibly rude to PAYING customers (minors nonetheless!!). Didn’t seem busy at all, and we have ordered at this restaurant many times before. When sharing my story to other locals, several people had similar experiences. Take your busy to any of the other great local pizza places where they appreciate paying customers.

Great food – friendly service. Francis who is a classically trained French chef does a superb job with his menu and deserts. He prepares everything for his deli as well as dinners. Presentation is also excellent. A great local unpretentious restaurant.

We celebrated my mom’s 85th birthday with her group of close friends, and it was nothing short of spectacular! Debra handled every little detail of the arrangements flawlessly. The chef, Francis, provided us with the most exquisite dining experience… we loved every single dish! The strawberry shortcake birthday cake was a masterpiece. Our server Brendan was fantastic: personable and paid close attention to each person’s needs. It was an intimate and impressive evening, and we could not be happier! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

With times being hard I want to support small businesses. This is one that I will never support again. I placed an order and wasn’t sure how long it would be and the nasty owner screamed at me “just come back whenever”! She is very rude, not just to customers but to her workers also. The place is not sanitary. The owner walks around in open toe slippers dressed like a bum. I would never recommend this business to anyone. Support small businesses, but not this one.

Around the side, through a door in the tiny parking lot is a French restaurant called Francis’. The food was country French, $48 for 3 courses, in a very small (10 tables) restaurant with very little ambiance. While the food was good, the restaurant seemed poorly decorated and thrown together in the back of an Italian deli. It wasn’t quaint. It felt cheap. I ate here over Labor Day Weekend and there was one server. Never did I feel neglected though, as busy as she was. The bread was plentiful and decent. I started with a fish soup and a can of Diet Coke (they had no iced tea but Snapple). I then had perfectly cooked Filet Mignon that was rolled in pepper as opposed to a wine and peppercorn sauce. The potatoes, and mixture of carrots, peas, and bacon were delicious as well. For dessert, I had a teardrop—chocolate mousse with whipped cream inside a teardrop shaped chocolate wall. There was a cherry inside. The food and service were good, but it wasn’t an outstanding meal. I had expected it to be more like Gregory’s. Given a choice, I’d prefer there. The food, and ambiance are better. And they have a staff of servers instead of overloading one person (who did an amazing job regardless!!). I make the comparison only because they are also a small, high end restaurant known for great food not because they are rumored to have worked together at one time. I don’t care about rumors and where chefs come from.

Tom and I celebrated our 50th Anniversary this past weekend at Francis’ Restaurant and we couldn’t have imagined how wonderful it would be. Deborah and Francis were a pleasure to work with. The food was outstanding and served perfectly. Attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our celebration. What a diamond on LBI. Thank you so much from us and all our guests.

I always grab a sandwich from here a few times a summer. Really high quality deli items, a lot of it is homemade. They have great catering as well. Place used to be better though, I’ve noticed a decline in quality. For instance this week I bought prosciutto sandwiches on two separate occasions, both times a thimble of roasted peppers were put on the sandwich. Also we noticed expired cookies/products in the baskets in front of the deli case. A shame.

Food was very good. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not able to cool down the room sufficiently. In addition it was so loud you could not talk to the person next to you. Patrons were very loud at their tables and made our dining unpleasant.
