Tried this place because Don Gabriel’s was closed. Either the prices are way higher than I’ve found listed online (almost double) or I got ripped off. The guy at the counter saw me holding cash in my hand and when I asked how much it was, he hesitated a second and then said a round number, when the price online was not listed as so. Food was good though. Just be weary that you might be ripped off.

The fried pinwheels (don’t know what they are actually called) are the BEST THINGS ON THE PLANET. Seriously, though, the food was outstanding and very flavorful. Portions are generous. Definitely will go back next time I’m in NY.

Truly unexpected. I didn’t expect it to be amazing but the quality was just really bad. The burrito and steak and onions with Salad, was a huge disappointment. The best part was the onions. Most of what our family ordered were overly fried/burnt. I hate writing negative comments but the quality needs some reevaluating.

Great ambience, and the food is fresh and tasty. I loved the spicy sauces they bring aside both green and red.
The menu has a nice variety of Mexican options, and veggie choices are there as well, which it makes it complete.
Overall a very pleasant experience.

Tasty food. I was picking up takeout, really good guac, and shrimp fajitas – doesn’t look as though they’re really geared up to folks dining in.
I found it a little weird to serve fajitas with rice and beans, and not tortillas.

From the lack of meat on my tostadas, to the dryness of the chicken quesedias was bad enough! Service was ok, considering our waitress swemed to be the cook. But when i got the bill, there was no breakdown of prices, or tax, just a final total. Seemed a bit pricey from the total.

The food was absolutely wonderful and the ambience completely genuine and Mexican. I and a group of friends went on July 3rd and I and a different group came back on July 8. Both times the food was fabulous. I recommend everyone try out this place!

The inside isnt much to write home about, but the portions are large and the food is decent. It taste like they are conscious with salt and oil unlike most otherplaces. I ate my entire plate and I’d come back if I was rolling through the area. Not from the hood. But from NYC where Mexican food is almost as good as from Mexico itself.
