We went to A1 Steakhouse for Valentine’s Day and I can’t believe I forgot to post this sooner! The food was absolutely amazing. The pasta was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, and their lobster bisque was hands down one of the best I’ve had – rich, creamy, and delicious. My husband steak was the best, of course I had a piece. Everything was spot on. We’ll definitely be back!

A+ Steakhouse was a nice place to visit. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious, especially with the marinated sauce, and the steak was also very good. Unfortunately, the lobster bisque soup was not. My wife tried it first and said it tasted awful, and when I tried it, I agreed—it was terrible. After I got home, I began to feel sick and believe I got food poisoning from the soup. I clearly remember
it tasting foul. That really hurt the overall experience.

On the positive side, our waiter was awesome—very attentive. Overall, the visit was okay, but the lobster soup was definitely a bad experience.

My husband and I recently visited here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived early when they first opened and enjoyed delicious cocktails at the bar. The staff was so friendly & the restaurant very beautiful, classy & inviting. From the warm cozy atmosphere to the beautiful decor & comfortable seating, we felt relaxed and happy. Then we went to our intimate corner table and ordered steaks and the Homemade Lobster Cappellacci. Everything melted in our mouths, it was all so delicious. We enjoyed our evening so much and cannot wait to visit again. It’s great to have found this special place in the neighborhood that serves high quality dishes & goes above & beyond to make their customers happy. It’s all about the full experience and A+ delivers.

We were looking for a new restaurant to try. A neighbor of ours highly recommended this place and raved about the steaks and mussels. We had 6 pm reservations and were seated promptly. It was crowded and loud with background music. We asked for the volume to be turned down which they did. The wine and craft cocktail list is broad and extensive. I wanted to try their mule with Icelandic Vodka but the Tom our waiter strongly recommended a new addition of wine which was a malbec. It was a wonderful recommendation. Tom recommended a chardonnay for my wife and a cabernet sauvignon for our friends; everyone enjoyed their wine. Tom was spot on with his recommendations. The service was attentive, friendly and helpful. Tom stopped by several times during our meal, checking in, did we need anything, how was our meal, another drink etc… My friend had the mussels, and his wife ordered a salad and crab cakes; which they couldn’t finish. They brought home leftovers and they thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. My wife had a filet while I had the New York strip; both of our dishes were delicious and yummy. We had leftovers as well. The portions here are huge. Bring an appetite. I had the baked horseradish crust; it had no taste and it was burnt. The kitchen was busy and it was difficult to get our table of food out together with a crust. Despite this the meal was worth it. We did not feeled rushed and we were able to freely talk. Tom offered drinks and desserts after dinner, but we were full, but their coffee and espresso were spot on. We found our new restaurant; it is a must-see and a must-try. We will return.

Great little neighborhood restaurant. The steaks are very good quality. They are priced much better than the chain steakhouses that Chicago is famous for. The service is outstanding. I’ve been there a few times with my wife, and the manager and servers always seem to remember us. They have a small bar up front to grab some great cocktails. Drinks are very good. They know how to make the classics right. I highly recommend the grilled calamari; probably one of the best items on the menu. Very unique and flavorful taste. The steaks are cooked to perfection. The house salad with Caesar dressing was great. The service here always stands out. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, which is why we continue to visit as often as possible. I would recommend this place. Great food, great service, great quality.
