I recently ordered from Brooklyn Pizza in downtown San Diego. Overall, the experience was decent but not exceptional. The pizza itself was OK—not amazing, but not bad either. It had a decent crust and a good balance of toppings, though it didn’t quite remind me of the classic New York-style pizza I was expecting. The slices had a bit more chew than the foldable, crisp-yet-soft texture I associate with NY pizza, but the flavors were still enjoyable.

One downside was the delivery time. We were told our pizzas would arrive at 2:45 PM, but they ended up coming about 25 minutes later. Given that it was raining today, I understand that delays happen, but it would have been nice to have a more accurate estimate.

That said, the service over the phone was a highlight. The staff was friendly and helpful when taking the order, which I appreciated. If you’re craving pizza in the downtown area, Brooklyn Pizza is a solid choice, but I wouldn’t go in expecting an authentic New York slice.

Simple but delicious pizza spot. Was not expecting much, considering they are in downtown. BUT I had to drop a review because I was pleasantly surprised with the ingredients on the pizza and the service. Made me feel very welcome as well as others coming through the door as I sat and ate my slice. I shall return whenever I’m in the area again for a slice.

Had lunch at this pizza place yesterday and it was a pretty decent experience. The pizza crust was thin and crispy, exactly how I like it, and the toppings tasted fresh. I tried the pepperoni and mushroom combo, and it was good, nothing mind-blowing but definitely satisfying. The staff were friendly enough, and my order came out quicker than I expected, which was nice. The inside of the restaurant was clean, though a bit small, so seating can get crowded during peak hours. Overall, I’d probably come back again if I’m in the area and craving pizza.

Had a great experience.
This place was walking distance from our Airbnb.
We went in and grabbed a couple of the slices that they had ready so we were jn and our fairly quickly .
The services was great the guy at the counter offered their special and it ended up being cheaper so he saved us a couple bucks.

Pizza itself was good. Nothing crazy our out of this world but if your in the area and need something cheap and fast I would definitely recommend you stop by .

Great fresh New York style pizza in San Diego. I support this place 100% especially when I saw the owner or work help one of the local homeless people. You treated him with kindness and make sure he good. Definitely recommend! Nice place to chill outside and eat pizza. Enjoy the San Diego weather too.

Really good pizza! I’m from NJ so that opinion carries weight. Totally unassuming corner shop just past the Gaslamp. I would go back 10/10. Good crust, flavor, and cheese. Calzone delish too!

Delicious wood fired pizza. Made very quickly, and it was so delicious! Employee was very pleasant and personable as well! Love the small down family vibes in the big city.

Brooklyn Pizzeria is located on the corner of 4th and C Street in downtown San Diego. They have a good selection of pizza by the slice at lunchtime and a cool brick oven to cook their pies in. Service was friendly and they seem to do a good bit of business at this location. They have a few tables inside for dining as well as some window bar type seating by each window. The pizza as definitely solid and had a good flavor. The only thing I didn’t like so much was all the homeless people hanging around. It definitely takes away from the vibe of a good meal. All in all, thumbs up for food and service and thumbs down for atmosphere. Probably a better place to get take out from.

The kind of places I like to support and deserve to be commented on!
I love this pizzeria, one of my favorite, absolutely the favorite here in San Diego , they have all the yummy stuff, pizzas that actually tastes good and isn’t outrageously expensive wings, salads, creamy delicious pastas..etc.
It’s Priced fairly, clean and very welcoming atmosphere, the owners are always cheerful and nice.
It’s within walking distance of many other vibrant spots downtown.

What a great find next to House of Blues. Super friendly service – guys were all joking and went above and beyond to help us. Pizza was great; wide variety of slices and everything was done well. Excellent value.

Several regulars popped in while we were here; I loved everything about the place and would return in a minute. Thanks so much!
