Great cheeseburger!
A simple, classic cheeseburger with just the right amount of seasoning — flavorful but not overpowering. The fries weren’t my favorite, as they tasted like standard crinkle-cut fries you’d find in a supermarket freezer section, but the burger itself was very good and worth coming back for.

A chili dog at minimum is:
A hot dog, with hot dog bun of course,

When did ordering a chili dog become a hassle?
Alright, so after all that: the chili dog was not good. The chili tasted burnt. I worked in the industry for 20 years & have been having hot dogs since I was 3 or 4, like most people, and this is the worst chili dog I have ever tasted.

I placed an order for a bacon cheeseburger. I told her I had ordered a while back and the bacon was left off. I had called and they said they would write it down for another time. The lady said “oh, I dont know nothing about that”. So I asked if there was a list she could look at and she said no.
2. I proceeded with the order-burger and tots. I asked for the total. She said she couldn’t give me the total because her other line was ringing and someone was at the counter. Well if you don’t give me the total, how do you expect me to pay. I was sending my son so I needed the exact.
Lastly I asked how long. She said about 15 minutes or so. The whole interaction was unprofessional and tacky at its finest. So guess what, I left their burger right there with them. If you don’t value me enough to make something as small as bacon right and be able to give me a total, you don’t deserve my business and I won’t be back. Went to A bears for lunch date with the hubby, I ordered the crab burger with fries and he got the hamburger steak full order and everything was delicious. Our waiter which I think was the owner was very polite and helpful. A conversation with the couple next to us and they was telling us about their regular everyday lunch specials in what you can expect. I would recommend this place for a lunch date with family or even for businesses. You will fall in love with the paintings on the walls especially the Big Bear over the booths.

I will start off by saying that most of their food is delicious. I spent nearly 3 months in New Iberia a few years ago, and ate here nearly every day. They have THE BEST hamburgers anywhere, and they have been consistent through the years since I first discovered this place. I drive 20+ miles one way when I get a craving for their burgers. This leads into my ultimately poor review. If a restaurant closes at 8 pm, then their dining room should close at 8 pm as well. Not this place. If you don’t arrive by 7 pm, you are not getting inside. Tonight we arrived at 6:52 pm (and yes I know we were cutting it close, but things happen that are sometimes out of your control), and were met with a closed dining room. An employee slid the order window open and said, “We close the dining room at 7, and it’s 6:52”, so I said “Ok” and turned around and got back in my car with my family of 4 to go spend my money elsewhere. This is not the first time this has happened, and when we have gotten inside around this time, the negative attitudes of the workers are on full display. Glaring looks and intentionally rude remarks have been made, both by the owner as well as staff. This place should just close the inside seating and have the drive-thru at night, because they do not want your business inside.
