Uo Nigiri Sushi—super delish premium sushi in the heart of MDR. Most fish is from Japan, and is top quality. Not a drop of soy sauce needed! Chef Yusuke truly knows his fresh fish! Don’t forget the Yuzu Sorbetto. I highly recommend this gem!

This restaurant exceeded my expectations! The service was outstanding, the food was truly incredible, and everything presented was fresh and beautifully prepared. My personal favorites were the toro and hamachi. I’ll absolutely be coming back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a small, intimate omakase experience!

The miso cod was so delicious, the 8 piece omakase was the perfect amount for me with some appetizers and the scallop nigiri blew me away. Service was excellent, ambiance was relaxed and I will definitely be back!

One of the best sushi spots anywhere around. The ambiance is modern, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxed night out, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive.

What truly stands out is the sushi rice—perfectly seasoned, light, and balanced, elevating every piece of sushi. The fish is always fresh and beautifully prepared, but the rice is what makes this place exceptional. A must-try for anyone who appreciates high-quality sushi.

Fantastic sushi with consistently fresh fish and great quality. The unagi sushi is the standout—perfectly grilled, tender, and incredibly flavorful, easily the best I’ve had. The tempura is also excellent: light, crispy, and not greasy. Definitely worth a visit.

This place was OK. Overpriced fish relative to small portion sizes, super slow service (like 1.5hrs) for a not fancy 4 course omakase.. and we came super hungry and left still hungry, even with ordering appetizers too!

Amazing sushi and service. Chef is attentive and great attitude. We got the Premium and Lite omakase and added an order of Uni. They were great! Would definitely come back.

Incredible Omakase experience!
Hands down one of the best fresh sushi meals in LA. Every piece was insanely unique and full of flavor. The chef clearly loves what he does, and is bringing Japan decadence to Venice.

I appreciate the mellow, traditional ambiance. The restaurant was simple but very nice. The fish selection was widely extensive. The dishes tasted palatable… My qualm is that the pricing and portions were quite small for an establishment that touts itself on its “affordability”. We paid $100 per person, without any drinks… which I pay elsewhere for a more plentiful meal. Nothing awful here but I am not running back at all considering the other options for this price.

Wow! As a lover and a snob of fantastic sushi, UO is one of the best in LA! A small, quaint and cozy spot that makes you feel at home with their sincere hospitality and seriously fresh sushi. Founder Yusuke served us himself and couldn’t have been more inviting and passionate about his business. My monthly budget on sushi is going here!
