We shared a Smoked cuterie platter. Excellent smoked meats of pulled pork, brisket, turkey and burnt ends. Very tasty. Also had side of Brussels Sprouts. Cooked to perfection.The Mac and cheese. Best we ever had. Friendly staff, made it definitely a place to come back to.

Food was great as well as service! We sat at the bar and had a fun girls brunch! Very fun atmosphere, the waiter recommended good drinks and good appetizers (full service at the bar). The avocado toast and the espresso martini were my favorites. Will be back!

As a local physician and Kansas City native who grew up working in the BBQ industry, I have a deep appreciation for our city’s food scene. Unfortunately, my experience here was baffling. I ordered the $30 BBQ plate and found the portion size to be incredibly sparse—mostly tater tots and bread with a very disappointing serving of burnt ends.
When I politely brought this to the staff’s attention, I was shocked to be accused by the owner of trying to “scam” the restaurant. I have zero need or desire to scam anyone for a meal; I simply expected a fair value for a premium price. To be met with hostility instead of a solution was unprofessional. I won’t be returning.

2nd time here and definitely will go back. Decided to try patio this time. Nice and quaint. Not sure how I feel about the vines and other plants growing up the steps the food has to be brought to you. Guy who took our order (if you never been – you have to order at register then take your seat) was great. Great attitude, personable, friendly. Food was good and definitely plan to come back for the brisket potpie. Would say the service was 5 out 5 but you have to serve yourself your water / soda. Patio don’t have a refill station so you have to go back down steps. In addition the patio was out of knives so made it interesting to eat my French Toast.

I have been to OurHouseKC on numerous occasions and not once have I been disappointed. For some reason they don’t seem to promote their smoked meats, which is hard to understand because their BBQ plates are awesome. You cannot go wrong with any of them. It’s not say that they don’t have a full range of delicious plates. Their Pot Pies are excellent.
The staff is super friendly and the the bartenders are true craftsmen with the cocktails.
In addition to the great food they have a bakery that you must try.
It’s offers a variety of pastries and great coffee.
With spring right around the corner the roof top will soon be in full swing, it offers great sites and a very fun atmosphere.
It’s actually opened year round.
And just to make it even better, they have local live music on many nights.
Just recently I hosted an after-hours work gathering at OurHouseKC and the staff went out of its way to make sure everyone had a good time.
If you haven’t been to OurHouseKC you must get it on your calendar.

First visit, surprised and impressed…Once I got how it works, it was definitely worth the visit…Nicely decorated atmosphere and Food was Tasty …Did not know it was a BBQ restaurant with all the other options to choose from as well …Had the Burnt ends …Perfectly smoked and seasoned, with Nicely trimmed cuts of meat…looking forward to future visits.

Came here for brunch and was blown away. Highly recommend the sausage breakfast sandwich and biscuits and gravy. The German pancake was awesome and fluffy too, just a little eggy for my taste, and not overly sweet if you like that sort of flavor.
My husband got the brisket scramble and enjoyed the smoky flavor and how filling it was. Also loved the honey lavender latte!
Love that they are dog friendly (there’s a few tables on the sidewalk for dogs). The staff was super sweet and even offered to bring my puppy fresh water.
We will definitely be back!!

No one gets five stars, but this day they all aligned food, service, atmosphere on point! We both had the burnt end potpie. Chef’s kiss! Perfectly flakey crust, no soggy stuff here, with tender fall apart chunks of meat and veggies!

Went in late on a Saturday night for a drink and a sandwich. Upstairs was really busy as there was a band playing but downstairs we were able to sit quickly. Order and pay at the ordering bar in the center of the dining room and you can do drinks there too. They have cute table numbers as famous singers. I asked if I could have Stevie nicks as our table and they kindly obliged me. The food was pretty quick and was honestly one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in this city! Greta value, fresh ingredients, went presented, tasted amazing!! I will be back for the chicken salad sandwich it was delicious! Highly recommend for lunch or dinner!
