This is a wonderful addition to the West Ashley area. The owners were so friendly and helpful. The pierogi, soup, and sausages were all delicious. This is a great stop for premade, hot options as well as packaged items. We left excited to come back for more. Please stop by for a magical experience!

What a great lunch place….had the #3 Turkey sandwich and bought a package of cherry cookies for my mother-in-law. It was 1030 and I thought “grab a sammich” for lunch. Long story…short. Had a great discussion with Mr. Rogala while he made the food. Got the sandwich and cookies into the car and didn’t make it till lunch….had the entire sandwich gone by the time I made it to the intersection of Sam Rittenberg Blvd and Orleans Road (not even 1/2 mile). Unique blend of flavors and ingredients. Best bread I have had in a very long time. One measure of great sandwich bread is by the number of crumbs worn while eating and this thing was amazing. I was covered. Can’t begin to explain how much I enjoyed my brunch. BTW…my mother-in-law liked the cookies, too! As MacArthur said, “I shall return.”

Wonderful Polish Deli offering delicious sandwiches made with a wide variety of Polish sausages. Try their specialty #1 Polish Delight Sandwich Combo, with Soup of the Day and Chips. Mostly take-out or enjoy at seated table area outside storefront. Sliced meats and pastries are sold as well as a variety of Polish grocery items. Ample parking.

I recently discovered a new place where you can buy European food, and it’s fantastic! The location is very convenient, near I-526, with plenty of parking spots available.

The store itself is not very big, but it definitely has a lot to choose from. You can find a wide variety of items, including frozen food, different candies, drinks, and more. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they also offer fully cooked, ready-to-eat food.

Another nice touch is the small patio outside with tables and chairs, making it a great spot to enjoy a quick bite.

Highly recommend checking out this store if you’re looking for European food options!

We moved here from NYC and have been slowly trying to find substitutes for our favorite ethnic markets back in NYC. It’s been hit or miss. But we definitely have a big hit with Kowalski. The market is a newer version of one of our favorite shops in Manhattan – East Village Meat Market. Found all my favorites including Bigos and Tripe Soup. Lots of other authentic Polish food and pantry items as well. I was too early for their prepared foods but can’t wait to go back and try. Owners were so nice. I’m so grateful to find Kowalski!

A true hidden gem! Kowalski Deli brings the heart of Poland to Charleston. The store is spotless, well-stocked, and full of authentic Polish foods—everything from pierogi and kielbasa to traditional sweets and pantry staples.

Ms. Gosia, the owner, is absolutely wonderful—kind, welcoming, and so knowledgeable about every product she carries. You can tell she puts her heart into the shop. It felt like visiting family.

If you’re looking for real Polish flavors and warm hospitality, Kowalski Deli is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!
