This is a small but very nice place to sit down to eat. It is called once again “12 St. Cafe ” Rhea and Lean now own this restaurant. Great people to talk to about any kind of subject! The food is had at 7am was awesome, which was ham two eggs hash browns and half order of biscuits and gravy. That was worth every penny and unsweetened tea! They are open from 6am through 3pm Monday to Saturday and Sunday 7am through 3pm and also open every day but Christmas day. For New year’s they will be serving black eyed peas cabbage and smoked sausage. These 2 have now owned this restaurant for about a year now and would like for more people to come check them out.
While I was sitting there eating my large breakfast (which surprised me how big it was for the price) there were several conversations going on about work, just people joking around, many different things. It all seem to be very uplifting and overall happy! I enjoyed my self just by myself. It felt good to hear people having good conversations and not alot of negativity. I would suggest this restaurant to a verity of people that like to meet new people and to have good food in the process. Good job to the new owners in my opinion! I would like to too what other people think of this restaurant as well, so please tag me if you can! You all have a great new year!!

We ordered a taco salad and steak with a cheesecake dessert. It’s an understatement to call it severely disappointing. I called to ask for my steak medium rare and what I received was only what I could describe as the insole of a shoe cut paper thin as though it was purchased wholesale from a street vendor meat truck. The taco salad was not as advertised (no shell) and even had ingredients not listed on their menu incorporated. Good thing we don’t have food allergies. The coleslaw was just raw vegetable with a scoop of some unidentifiable mayonnaise along with about a half a shaker of pepper. I prayed for a saving grace with the cheesecake and was greeted with the texture of biting into a glue stick and a concerning flavor that only hopes to be a cheesecake one day.
The only edible items were the rolls and baked potato. After working food service, I presume the rolls are prepackaged and it’s kind of hard to mess up a baked potato. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. How you’re still open for business is mind boggling and I’m definitely taking my business elsewhere. Good luck in your future endeavors.

I love local places. But sadly this one was very disappointing.
The atmosphere was small and cute, but a little run down.
Server was not attentive at all. The other server on the floor was actually very nice and helped out, but she was overwhelmed.
Our food came out cold because it sat in the window.
Kitchen microwaved our food, causing my over medium eggs to be hard.
The first round of onion rings came out burnt and had to be redone
Fried potatoes were just gross and not actually fried .
Side dishes served on china plates but main entrees served on plastic..
The little details all around make all the difference.
In all fairness and honest, they did make it right and fair at the register.

Silverware and coffee cups needed a proper wash. The food was ok but the 7 Oz. steak is not 7 Oz. Coffee tasted burnt like a truck stops coffee. Their style of potatoes was not my style, I prefer hashbrown style. But service was good they where friendly and easy to talk to

They have improved their food choices. They are very friendly from when you go in until you leave. They also allow you to have your food prepared the way you want it that doesn’t break the bank, such as a food chain would.

I ordered the special of fried chicken yesterday. It was awful!! The coating was some kind of batter coating and not what I would call fried chicken. The mashed potatoes were instant and cold. Gravy I asked for on my potatoes was sausage gravy I guess from breakfast. Unbelievable. Never heard of mashed potatoes with sausage gravy on them. Very disappointed because I thought a home cooked cafe would have a good at least fried chicken and it wasn’t even close to good. Never again!!!!

Frequent dining companion and I went to check out the place as we heard newer owners and improved food.
Thursday morning around 930 and at times, we were the only people there, yet coffee went unfilled, mediocre food took what seemed longer than expected and there was only casual attention to customers.
Prices were in line with other “diners”, but this place needs to catch up.
