I’ve been wanting to come here for some time and I’m so glad that we finally made it! In fact we, we loved the food and lake views so much that we visited two weekends in a row. There are plenty of outdoor high top and picnic tables on the pier as well as indoor tables and bar seating. Great food and service! We’ve tried the Southwest Chicken Egg Rolls – very tasty with a little bit of a spicy kick. Blue Wave Chips – homemade potato chips with queso, bleu cheese and jalapeños. Clam Chowder, Clambake with Steak, Black N’ Blue Burger, Blackened Walleye Sandwich, Lakeside Cheeseburger, and a Side Salad. All of the food is delicious with good sized portions. We hope to be back next weekend. If not, we plan on dining here several times next year!

Decided to come here for lunch. We were not disappointed. The southwest egg rolls are amazing, the Lake Erie views are great, and our server Mary was funny and attentive.

Warning though portions are large so come hungry!

Pumpkin Cheese cake is VERY good.

This restaurant tucked away in Fairport Harbor is not only a great place for outdoor dining with a phenomenal view of Lake Erie and sunsets that rival the very best, the food and service is excellent! They offer Indoor dining and a bar as well but I love lakeside. It really is one of the finest dining experiences around!

Been down to come back to this place for years now and I finally made my way this weekend. I came here with my brother after enjoying the shores at Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park. I was almost confused as to whether the burgers on the menu included a choice of ghost pepper cheese (according to the menu). Luckily, the waiter proved me wrong and reassured me that ghost pepper was still a choice selection, so I ordered the Surf & Turf Burger which probably included one of the best Cajun ranch sauces I had ever tasted. The size of the meal was perfectly balanced as it was too small to the point where you are still hungry or too large to where you’re nearly asleep but just right to keep you energetic afterwards. Aside from the menu, I was fascinated by how great / calming the atmosphere was. I mean the hostess gave us a choice of dining in at the bar area, deck, or restaurant (indoors). But not only are the areas of interest are flexible but every area has a great view overlooking Lake Erie and the Marina, and the only thing you’ll hear is waves. All in all, my advice for newcomers having the best experience here is spend time at the lakefront before heading to Sunset Harbor for lunch. Choose the best view and spot that matches your interests. Also, I recommend cash rather than card since it makes tipping easier.

Dropped in on a Sunday around 1:00 PM

I put in an order for calamari fries- for the server to come back and say they are all out…. lol so I tried the crab cake appetizer…..

The “surf and turf burger.” LOOKED good. But did not taste very well, the fries and burger both came out real greasy, the buns that they use for nearly every sandwich was not a good taste, the bread was so thick and dry, The shrimp came out like rubber chew. I was convinced this meal was prepared two days ago and re-fried.

The crab cakes- I didn’t enjoy the batter coat as it was too brown. Also came out greasy!

When the server asked “how was your food.” I said it was “ok I wasn’t impressed.” She said “well you don’t pay for the food, you come for the views.” I wish someone had said that before ordering anything that could’ve saved me some funds and time

I am not a fan of the paper menus, that blow all over when seated outside nor am I a fan of the plastic utensils.

Their drinks don’t come in bottles or glass(quotes not great for the environment as they must think plastic is better…..) everything came in plastic. They charge you an extra $3 for fries with your burger otherwise they give you a lays chip bag with your meals!

PS- the outdoor seating/ tables do not come with an umbrella shade

Came here with a party of 5. Very nice server. Two entrees that came with fries were barely even warm. My grandpa never got the side salad that he ordered. Calamari fries were very good!! Our server was very attentive to refilling beverages. Great view of the lake!!

Food was not that good. The pricing was high considering the quality vs cost.

I explained to the down to earth server what was wrong with the food, hopefully she took it into consideration and relayed the message to the line cooks.

The server was very down to earth and easy to like.
The best item out.of everything we ordered was the fried perch filets. They tasted fresh and was enjoyable. All the other items left much to be desired.

If I had to own this operation I would start w training the cooks to identify bad food because the garbage they sent out looked bad and tasted worse. I know none of them are eating what they are serving, and that’s a big problem.

The atmosphere is nice, although it’s a bit weird to get to the physical restaurant because it sits next to a marina and looks like an industrial area when pulling up to it.

But you can dine on the lake and that definitely helps to ease the pain of the entrees.

Hard to come back for dinner, but maybe it’s a good spot for beers and French fries, who knows?

We stopped here two years ago this October…The area is really awesome! We watched ships enter into canal areas while we waited for food. Watched a beautiful sunset and the waves crashing against the rocks! The food was really lovely too! Yes a little bit pricey, but not horrible! After a long drive and more time on the road… this was a great place to stop and enjoy the lake and a break!

Everything was excellent, the service was friendly, courteous, prompt and professional. The food was exquisite, I had the fish and chips, 2 walleye filets that were generous and 2 beers over a period of 2 hours. Thank you very much for a delightful culinary experience at the LakeErie coastline.
