The storm may have given this place a shake, but this riverside gem is back! Second day of the season, and the food is already shining. Friendly folks, clean vibes, and the river’s right there. Young adventurers, grab your crew and come support a local comeback story!

What a delightful eatery. Down to earth, friendly atmosphere with tasty cafe offerings. The fried green tomatoes were great, topped with a creamy and tart cheese and balsamic drizzle. My husband had a pimento burger (it was so good—I definitely snagged a healthy bite) and I had the Cranberry Turkey Panini with delicious potato salad. The people running the cafe were pleasant. If you’re needing a break from the madness of I-40, it’s directly off the exit. You won’t regret it!

We stopped by today to enjoy the beautiful water views with our fur baby. Coffee, food are great! Everything about this place is perfect! This was built and now rebuilt with Love. I really enjoyed talking to the owner. What a beautiful soul!

Delicious! Do not skip their homemade hummus, so flavorful and fresh!
I had their pimento cheese sandwich and was very pleasantly surprised to find that their pimento cheese is more cream cheese-based than Mayo-based, really light and refreshing for lunch but still rich in flavor. My husband had the pulled pork and loved it, say yes to the cole slaw on there! The lavender lemonade was also so tasty
As of April ‘25 Beantrees Cafe is in the middle of rebuilding their main restaurant which they lost in the hurricane, they’re operating out of their coffee shop and it was still absolutely delicious with wonderful tables by the river to sit and enjoy your food and great conversation with other fellow travelers, locals etc. The gals working were lovely to chat with as well, very nice and sure know how to make an excellent lunch 🙂
Loved that they had such solid vegetarian options! Definitely recommend!

Came here for lunch with my family on vacation. A wonderful local place right next to the river. Toni was our waitress and she was so nice. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! A must go if you’re close to the area!

Stumbled upon this lovely surprise 2 minutes off the I-40, great stopping point right before Knoxville. Delicious food with a lovely view overlooking the rafters going by on Pigeon River. They got hit with Hurricane Helene in 2024 but are making a good recovery. Stop here instead of a fast food place and buy a T-shirt too!
Side note white water rafting outfitters are right next door.

My friend and I were delighted by the lovely ladies and their delicious food at this quaint café! Despite the cold outside, the atmosphere was warm and cheerful. And despite the throngs of loud customers, the staff were swift and caring. Thank you, ladies!!

Make a plan to stop here! My new favorite coffee shop, even though I live a thousand miles away! Stopped here for coffee and breakfast on a road trip. Dark Nut Chiller is perhaps the best coffee drink I’ve ever had anywhere! Loaded bagel and English muffin sandwiches were outstanding too! Amazing friendly service and great river views. Def stop here.
