Good BBQ great staff. I sampled most of the meats they had available and their peach cobbler. As for the meats. The salmon was salmon, nothing special nothing bad. The brisket was lacking in flavor but otherwise it was ok. The pulled pork was good, but it’s hard to screw this up. The sausage was tasty but equivalent to an all beef hot dog. The candied pork belly was tasty, they caramelize things well here. The ribs are the only thing that has everything you want. It tastes good and is meaty giving you something to chew. The peach cobbler was tasty but lacking in texture and the peaches seemed to just be canned.

Start off with great atmosphere and friendly staff. Sam and Wayne the owners are here live and in person serving everyone their “Texas style BBQ”. You absolutely will not leave disappointed you stopped in to check it out. Check out my photos. Everything was great and being a Texan myself I give my highest approval.
Thank yall.

I stopped by today for my Super Bowl Party. Spent $200.00 plus for my food. Having grown up in Kansas City in my early years, and have lived in St Louis for some Time I am Qualified to know what Great Bar B Q should taste like. The Brisket they slow Smoke is Off the Charts. You can ask for Lean or Moist. Quite plainly, there is No Better Brisket in Colorado. They’re Pulled Pork is Wicked good. Smoked Ribs are really, good, fall off the Bone delicious. They offer other meats also. The Owners & Staff are Wonderful people an treat every customer like Family. I whole heartily Recommend you give them a try

I’ve been on a mission the last year to try every barbecue joint that isn’t a chain and review it, I started in North Carolina and I’ve been able to expand it to Colorado. It’s very very difficult to find real authentic barbecue or places that also have reasonable sides because usually the sides aren’t very southern/barbecue. I came to this place a couple weeks back right before they closed so I was only able to get the pulled pork, but it was one of the best pulled pork I’ve had in a while. To me a good pulled pork is flavorful and juicy and not reliant on a form of barbecue sauce and this meat did exactly that. I also got the chili/baked beans and it definitely has a kick to it but me and my dog both heavily enjoyed it. I definitely will come back if I’m ever in the area. Hopefully next time I can make it before they run out of their sides. (Sides in pictures are from another great bbq joint a town over)

This is honest to god legitimate BBQ. Meat so good and well seasoned rub, smoked to perfection. It’s like an old school meat market, hand carving everything to order exactly as you’d like. Best BBQ I’ve had in CO, and some of the best, period. Thanks Wayne!

Overall Rating and is it worth a visit: 8.25 to 8.5/10 and Yes. Worth a stop, but not the best in Colorado in anything outside of maybe their garlic mashed potatoes. Wayne’s is located out in a nice suburban strip mall, nestled between Boulder and Denver in the town of Superior, and is open on only Fridays and Saturdays. Admittedly, I was reviewing this for a second time due to a recent Reddit post regarding my Colorado BBQ rankings, where a lot of people had some strong opinions that Wayne’s was the best brisket and bbq in the state. As such, I recognized I hadn’t been there in almost 5 years and my original review was one of my first ever, so I wanted to give them a second chance to see what everyone was raving about. Walking up to the front door, I was hit with a nice smell of smoke, with an unexpected amount of people already waiting in front of me. For it only be 6 minutes past opening, I was pleasantly surprised to see 28 people ahead of me already in line. Upon entering, I noticed they have frozen bbq options also available for takeaway, which is a unique option not really available at other Colorado locations. They also have grab and go take away side dishes as well. As a heads up, they don’t have a liquor license, so only fountain drinks and sweet tea here. Friendly staff though and can serve down to 1/4 lbs of any of the smoked meats. I got the Wayne special, which came with 1/2 lb meat option plus a side and drink, and I added in a wide range of additional meats and sides. While the steady flow of people was nice to see, I found myself confused, because while this is better bbq than I remember, it’s also not worth the premium price they charge compared to other locations. Add in that they don’t have Shiner Bock or Lone Star (Central Texas BBQ staples) or any other beers I can enjoy with my barbecue, and I find myself sticking closer to my original review than what my local Reddit enthusiasts think. Although to be fair, they were better than I remember and do have a good bbq vibe and ambiance to it with solid customer service and improved sides, so I bumped them up 14 spots in my state ranking and 17 nationally. While the food was better than I remember, none of the meats blew me away, with some leaving me underwhelmed. Overall, it is worth stopping in for a visit, as they do have some unique flavors compared to other locations across the state, but I have a hard time putting them in a top 5 in anything outside of their garlic mashed potatoes. Excellent Texas style BBQ. Come early for a full selection as it WILL sell out. You can’t go wrong with any of the meats, however the Turkey is sneaky good. Brisket is always amazing and they ask if you want lean or fatty which is a wonderful touch that most BBQ restaurants miss out on. Well worth the trek even if you aren’t in the neighborhood.

This meat is so delicious and dank! The meats are on the sweeter side. If you don’t prefer sweet, I recommend adding a picked jalapeño to balance the flavors. We got there around 1pm and had not much of a wait on a Saturday. We might have been a little lucky due to weather.

This is one of the best BBQ places anywhere in the country. Without a doubt. I can’t believe it’s not way more popular than it is. I’ve never had pork belly this good and the fatty brisket is as good as the best places you can find in Texas. Absolutely blown away by this place. Even the ribs were amazing and typically I’m not a big ribs person.

I was excited to try this place out last month and the line out the door was a good sign. A 50 minute wait later, I was sure glad that my visit to Colorado was a short one and I’d be going back to Texas.
Ribs were really, really quite sugary, but tender. Brisket lacked a good smoke ring and was a tad too salty for me but again, tender enough. Sausage lacked a nice snappy casing. I would’ve tried a sauce to salvage the meal but realized they’re surprisingly not free.
Took a smoked turkey to freeze and reheat for Thanksgiving during our stay, and that was probably the better meat of the lot but everyone only had one serving.
Mac and cheese was a good side and ample portion. Flavorful, but one time was definitely enough.
Service was friendly during the lunch rush. So friendly, I wished I had liked the meal more.
Glad the CO locals have some kind of TX style bbq option, but come visit sometime to taste the difference. 🙂
