Manager Sarah and team run a great little restaurant. If you have never tried out FARE, give it a taste test. The food I think is all organic and healthy – no deep frying here. If Gabby is there she can help make bowl suggestions. Food is flavorful and worth the $. Your belly will be happy if you give it a try.

As a first time luncher, Cam provided super friendly service and expert guidance. Everything was delicious – I especially enjoyed the roasted sweet potatoes and smoky chicken with freshly blended pesto sauce. YUM! Sorry folks, I really really want to like this place, but today was the last straw for me. I’ve ordered take-out 4 or 5 times since they opened, and the first few times were pretty decent – food was on time and fresh. But the last couple times have been very lackluster – less-than-fresh food (or in today’s case, runny scrambled eggs), and they actually didn’t even get my online order last time, so I had to wait while they made it. Not a huge deal. However, today I ordered the scrambled egg bowl. It is supposed to come with eggs, sweet potato hash, a corn muffin, and spicy red pepper sauce. I added bacon as well. The bag felt… a little light upon leaving, but I was in a rush so didn’t check until I got back to my workplace. To my utter shock, all that was in the bag was runny eggs and the bacon. No potatoes, no corn muffin, no sauce. Honestly this place is already overpriced, but to pay $15 for that was just… unacceptable. So I think I’m done giving this place the benefit of the doubt.

Went to the Grand opening last night and it was great! Very kid friendly and a great location. My one year old LOVED the sweet potatoes! My 4 year old sleeps in the hat as well!

I had a fantastic visit to FARE in Oak Park! Carlos was incredibly warm and even offered to remake my drink when it took a bit longer. His welcoming attitude and a coupon made my first visit special. I returned the next day, and the Green Glow Glow Smoothie remains my top pick. Keep up the great work!
