I was looking for a fine dining experience in Fairbanks for my bday and Bobby’s checked all the boxes. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great drinks. I will be going back.

Went out for drinks but ended up getting some appetizers as well. The drinks were very good and not super expensive (they also have a pretty decent number of options for cocktails). The calamari was good too. The mussels were cooked well just wished they were a little bigger. And the leafy greens with the ground beef filling sooo good!

The service was great! We had not made a reservation but the staff still looked to accommodate us as quickly as they could, maybe a 5 minute wait. But the host and waiters where phenomenal. I will say the place smelled just a bit funky when we first entered but I think that’s because someone has a dish with some sort of sea food on it. But aside that it’s a wonderful place!

My husband and I ate there for our 10th anniversary. My husband had the prime rib and I had the rack of lamb, both house specialties. My husband said his was flavorless and tough. My lamb tasted ok but the sides weren’t very good. We spent a lot of money for subpar food. Also, to add insult to injury, they charged us for the salads that are listed as coming with the special. AND they charged us for adding ice to my husband’s whiskey. I’ve never seen that. I was drinking ice water and they weren’t charging us for that. We did not complain in person, it’s not our business so it is not our job to be quality control. Also, we were really hungry and tired from snowboarding all day so we ate the food and that just feels weird to eat and then complain. It took a long time to get our food too but we were ok with it because we thought it’d be amazing. Also, the waiter was good and he did ask us if everything was ok… it wasn’t.. but we said it was because we liked the server and we were tired from a busy day. I was gonna leave it alone altogether but it really bugged me that we spent that much on food that wasn’t great. I don’t want others to spend that kind of money. Maybe their cheaper options are better. ‍♀️ I will say that I DID like their Greek salad.

We had a wonderful dinner here. It’s classic low key Greek ambience. The hostess was so nice, as was our server, Kristie. My Rack of Lamb was delicious and the broiled Halibut was very good. The Twister IPA was great and the Alexander Valley Cab Sav. Excellent.
The bathrooms (esp the woman’s) are legendary!! So clean and cool!
My only opportunity area is that the Greek Salad is a modest upgrade ($3) vs the one included in the dinner, but it had only 1 Kalamata olive, and no red onion, and too many green peppers.
Still, this is one of the best dinners in Fairbanks!

The food tasted great. We did end up sitting for quite a while after ordering the salad and an appetizer with nothing arriving. When the appetizer finally came out, we were told the salad wasn’t brought first due to staff instructions. That didn’t make much sense to either of us, and we both would have preferred having the salad before the appetizer.

Other than that I’m coming back!

We sat for an hour and nobody talked to us (other than when they seated us). Not even for drinks. The first interaction we had was when we stood up to leave. The tables around us waited over an hour for their food after they ordered. Some of them had to leave before even getting their food because they waited so long. We waited an hour just to talk to someone. I saw one server for the whole restaurant. In the hour we were there I saw that one server take the order for a single table and nobody else. The bussers were hustling though and doing a great job. I’m not going to force a big effort to get attention and service that isn’t being given, at a place where the whole point is to give it, that I’m then expected to pay for.

It’s really disappointing because this was our most looked forward to restaurant of our trip. My partner spent weeks finding the dress she wanted to wear, and hours the day of prepping for it. I didn’t eat almost anything that day so that I could eat lots for dinner.

We left, drove 25 minutes to a different restaurant, ate and left, all by the time we would’ve maybe just been getting our food.

We are on cruise, had a stop here & my hubby & myself decided to make a small trip to downtown Fairbanks. Like many small towns, we walked around saw the Town Square small shops & stumbled upon Bobby Downtown to eat dinner. Little did we know that this restaurant serves Greek food! We visited Athens Greece a few years back & fell in love with Greek food. We are from German descent with dinners of meat, potatoes/ gravy & green beans. So this dinner was refreshing, a delight & most of all yummy! Big plus our waiter was always at our call! Great service. Many thanks & found Fairbanks a delight to visit & the temperature was marvelous! Donna Geisinger from KC,MO.

When people ask me where I went out last night and I told them Bobby’s they said oh so did you wait like an hour for your meal? Not only did I wait an hour for my meal but it was actually cold by the time it got to me. They weren’t very busy but it seemed like it took forever for us to get our meal and I was really surprised that it wasn’t warm at all. Of course by that time I was really hungry so I just went ahead. The food was okay but not fabulous. The decor in atmosphere was nice. We went to talk with some friends and it was a very nice place to do that. Unless I had got a head start and showed up an hour or two before I really wanted to eat I doubt if I’ll be back.
In particular, I started with a salad and it was pretty simple fistful of romaine put on a plate with a couple of tomatoes. The salad dressing had obviously been decanted a long time ago on the oil and vinegar separated I couldn’t get it mixed back in so I had some completely greasy lettuce and some with just vinegar. I got the gyro which by nature is a sandwich but it was described that it came with rice and potatoes and a vegetable so I thought it would be like a gyro platter. No, it was a thick bready pita with potatoes and rice and just didn’t seem very balanced. The meat was the pre-packaged completely unremarkable gyro strips that you can get frozen. The tzatziki sauce was actually very good.

My recent visit to Bobby’s Mediterranean Restaurant in Fairbanks was outstanding!
The food was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, and be warned: the appetizers are huge—a great value, but plan to share! Everything we ordered was fantastic.
The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, making for a lovely evening out.
What really made the night was the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Brian. He was attentive, helpful, and truly made the experience fun and enjoyable.
If you’re in Fairbanks and craving authentic, flavorful Mediterranean cuisine with great service, Bobby’s is the place to go!

On our first night in FAIRBANKS we found BOBBY’S DOWNTOWN, and were seated immediately at a white linen table. I chose a few beers from their extensive drink menu. My wife ordered a ridiculously delicious Moussaka served with carrots, while I ordered a beef tenderloin gyro, served with potatoes & veggies. Both dishes were fantastic & if we had more time in Fairbanks we would’ve gone back again, because everything on their menu looks awesome.
