I visited Perfect Pollo today after my son recommended it to me. Thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience here. Friendly and courteous staff. The fish ceviche has me wanting to come back again for lunch tomorrow! And the horchata was delightful.

This is not real Peruvian Chicken !!!
Driving through visiting family , stopped for dinner . It was empty felt odd , ordered 1/4 dark with two sides . My chicken was so old I didn’t eat it ! The skin was hard to chew my sides i see many reviews saying the same thing ! I ordered yuca fries you get 5 and I ordered fajita vegetables which was a small container of onions . Small piece of old chicken . Most Peruvian places that sell this type of chicken . Have an open kitchen you can smell and see the chicken cooking that is not the case for this place you can’t see a kitchen or smell charcoal chicken cooking more of a bar hangout . That was my experience my son had the same with mac and cheese he didn’t eat his mac and cheese which he loves he said his chicken was old as well . I had to leave hungry the 5 edible yuca fries and bowl of onions didn’t cut it so have to a place with edible food now and pay again . Unacceptable and they’re expensive for the amount of food they’re giving you and old chicken . Sorry but that was our experience very disappointing! We fed it to our dogs ! I would really love to know what’s actually happening to the chicken ??

this is one of my new favorite international restaurants in Fredericksburg!
im from richmond, which has chicken fiesta, and this is extremely similar but insanely better! i got the fried fish (i know i know) with yucca and fries. the yucca was a bit dry but everything else was delicious! my family loved the chicken and the wide variety of options here!

I’m i’m a huge fan of Peruvian food, but this was the first time we had been to this placw. Man, oh man, was it outstanding and I can’t wait to go back. The setup on the inside is amazing and the chicken is out of this world. They have a pretty extensive menu with things like fajitas and quesadillas but since it was our first time going there, we decided to keep it simple. We got a 1 half chicken dark and then 1 half chicken regular, and they were both insanely delicious. This was my son’s first foray into Peruvian food and he said it was some of the best chicken he had ever had in his life. We did mashed potatoes, Green Beans, black Beans and the Fried Rice and all of the sides were outstanding. An absolute gem of a place and can’t wait for the next trip!

The service was also excellent. The staff was polite and attentive, and the restaurant was clean. I will definitely stop by again when I’m in town.

Was treated to a lunch time meal at this restaurant by some friends, so I can’t speak to the cost or menu prices referenced in other reviews.
What I can say is that the 1/2 Chicken, Sweet Corn, Beans and Rice, and Horchata I ate were absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender, juicy, and hot with crispy well-seasoned skin, and flavorful side sauces. The two sides were solid and didn’t compete with the main dish.
The (I think) owner or general manager was there to greet us when we came in and was clearly interested in ensuring our experience was a good one, frequently checking in with us.
I will eat here again.

Great customer service and the chicken was delicious.
Side dishes: fries was good and fresh, chaufa (fried rice) was bland no taste.

I did not even try the food because they have one price listed on the menu but charge a higher price for the food. When asked about it they said it’s the owners fault. Regardless, it’s not something you can do. They refused to honor their menu prices so I just told them I’d report them and asked them to credit my money back. This was all before my order came out. It’s disappointing that they refused. Everything on their menu was .50 to 1.00 less than what they were charging. I’m sure people don’t look or notice but that’s a lot of extra money weekly they are stealing from customers. You put faith that what you see on the menu is what you’re going to pay and it’s not. I would advise that no one go there until they update all they menus.

Came here a few months ago and asked the lady at the counter 2 times if the Yuka was in the bag she said yes with confidence, came home it wasn’t in there. Came again today because I don’t hold grudges. They messed up all 3 subs, put the wrong sauces on each when it clearly stated on the recipe what we ordered. Food is average won’t be coming back again. Very pricey for the quality.
