I was in the area and decided to stop in since they were still open. I’m glad I did bc the lady there was incredibly nice and even shared a bit of the town’s history with me, which I appreciated! I also tried the pork tenderloin tacos and they were amazing! Super tenedor and flavorful.I will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu! If you are in the area stop by before you head out!

We were expecting a great experience due to the reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed . We ordered brisket, pork and ribs. The brisket was dry, brittle, and tasted like sour charcoal. You can see it in the pictures. The pork was 1/2 meat and the rest nasty fat. The ribs were good. The mac n cheese was good but a tiny portion. The potato salad was just a mouthful of vinegar. For the price ($19) you are supposed to get 1/2 lbs meat and a side. It was not worth it. We could not finish our food and left hungry. We will not be going back.

We drove to Ft. Benton specifically for the Sunday Brunch. We were not disappointed. My husband had the Cornbread French Toast with fresh berries and I had the BBQ Pork Sandwich with pickled cabbage and homemade chips. Both dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. We also ordered the Beignets. Wow! In addition to the powdery puffed pastry they came with a side of fresh whipped cream and what tasted like an apricot dipping sauce. Chef Alex was very accommodating and paid attention to the customer needs. Restaurant was quaint and well maintained. Live music was playing and was told there is live music on the first Sunday of every month. If you are ever in Ft Benton this is a must for a unique meal.

The best BBQ in Ft Benton, and dare I say all of Montana??? Alex took great care of us as we stumbled into The Public House just before closing time. We ordered a variety of sandwiches (Brisket, Chicken and Pork) with sides of cole slaw and mac & cheese – along with some tasty local beers!
The service was attentive and very efficient, and the quality of the food was outstanding. We just wish we had more time sit around and play games and enjoy the festive atmosphere of this restaurant. At the end or our meal we got a quick tour of the impressive BBQ smoker that produces such tasty meals. Thanks again Alex!

Tucked away in a beautiful courtyard, we have never had a shortage of food or flavor. A variety of BBQ mixed in with new creativity makes for taste bud pleasure. A beautiful view of the Missouri River awaits as you enter and walk happy.

Hands down the worst bbq I’ve ever eaten, four of us had, brisket, pork belly burnt ends and brisket burnt ends, chicken, pulled pork and slaw, none of it was good! It’s shame what he charging and to think people rate it as good! Save your money and go elsewhere. You’ve been warned!

Pretty disappointed after expecting 4.7 star experience. Tonight I had the burnt ends. They were gristly and believe it has been some time (days) since they came off the smoker. If you’re going to charge al a carte prices for bbq, it should be a lot better than this. Regret the experience and the waste of $35.
