The sushi was terrible
It lacked flavor and it kept falling apart
Same thing for the sauté beef and the rice, it lacked flavor and the rice wasn’t made well.
The Vegetable Hibachi was the star of the show. The chef did a fantastic job preparing the vegetables—they were cooked perfectly, retaining a pleasant crispness without being underdone or soggy, and seasoned beautifully. The portion sizes were generous, and the fried rice and noodles that came with it were flavorful. For an appetizer, the Spicy Edamame was a delightful surprise; the garlic butter and spicy Japanese chili combination was addictive and highly recommended as a starter. Our Vegetable Sushi Rolls were also fresh, expertly rolled, and a great, clean counterpoint to the richer hibachi.
The ambiance is lively, and the hibachi show is entertaining, making it a great place for a fun night out.
However, the customer service was noticeably lacking in warmth. While the staff were generally responsive to requests, their demeanor felt unenthusiastic and a little moody. We didn’t see many smiling faces, which unfortunately took a bit of the shine off the overall lively atmosphere. While the culinary talent is five-star, the overall dining experience is held back by this lack of engagement and hospitality from the service staff.
Bottom Line: Come for the fantastic food and entertaining hibachi experience, but be aware that the wait staff might not provide the five-star warmth you might expect. With an improvement in staff hospitality, this spot would easily be a perfect five stars.
Oh, and to top it all off – the saki bottle that was used on us sprayed ALL over each and every one of us. So beware.
