Came here because it was recommended on google maps.
They are well set out in the old city, with a good looking and aesthetically pleasing design.
Their food is really good too. We had some empanadas, with eggplant + zucchini, chicken and pineapple, as well as a sancocho and passion fruit pie. To drink we had some limonada, a papaya juice and coffee.
Ultimately this is a great spot, they have good pastry, excellent staff and make eating a great experience. Make sure you come here whilst you’re in town!!

The team is definitely super, from the time you push the door and enter the restaurant you are greeted with welcomes and good mornings fill with energy. For those of us who love to eat breakfast 24/7 they have an all day breakfast menu with some pretty good selections. The menu offerings also consist of traditional Panamanian dishes, freshly made natural juices, smoothies, excellent coffee as well as treats for the sweet lovers. The food presentation was simple but the complexity and build of the flavor profiles definitely enhanced the experience,we had the omelets which were seasoned to perfection and bussing with flavor. We sat in one of the little coves looking out to the city. The restaurant is well laid out, clean and has great ambience.

Wonderful solid breakfast at Super Gourmet in Panama City. They have a nice selection of empanadas, soups, sandwiches and breakfast options. Came here throughout my entire stay and it was pretty solid food.
Some of my favourites were the empanadas, the chicken one was very meaty and tasty.
The breakfast options were good from sandwiches to the regular eggs and beans for breakfast, just filling enough nothing special but solid.
Friendly staff and good service!

Great service with a smile. The empanados were amazing. Watch out for the D’Bocas Sauce. It’s really good, but it is hot. I love hot sauce, but I thought it was mustard (because of its color) so it caught me off guard on my first bit. Then I ate a bunch more.

This place is one of our favorites in Panama City. The people were very friendly and helpful. I got the beef empanada and man was it on spot!!! Try the D’Bocas hot sauce with it. You will not be disappointed.

We went to this place for breakfast. There was a selection of different breakfast foods and smoothies to choose from. The food was nothing to write home about but absolutely good enough for the price. I just had a regular omelette with onions and tomatoes and cheese. I also ordered a pineapple smoothie. The smoothies in Panama have been exceptional, especially the pineapple ones. But this one disappointed. The pineapple just didn’t seem ripe. The kids had other dishes that they thought were very good, especially the French toast.
Place) is getting three stars from me because of what felt like pretty unfriendly service. It did not feel welcoming and the person taking my order while patient seemed annoyed.

No idea how this place has such good reviews. We ordered the buffalo chicken salad. The ‘salad’ ended up being just lettuce with a little bit of grated carrot, a few slices of celery on top, and ranch dressing. We asked for some more veg and they reluctantly gave us some sliced mushy tomato to share. Nothing tasted very fresh so we left most of it.

Came here while on a cruise. We were looking for local cuisine. If you want homemade simple flavor dishes like a mom would make, this is it. In America, we have a ton of fancy dishes and I noticed a lot of restaurant in old panama city is this way. I bet they are good but I wanted simple and something local. We got the chicken soup, beef empanada, banana bread and Ropa Vieija. Will you taste the food and say this is the best thing I ever had? Maybe not, but it’s affordable, healthy, simple flavors reminding me of my time in Costa Rica in Uvita.
Also, it’s very very affordable. If I was staying here, I would eat here during my trip so eat healthy and spend frugal. Spacious area i would work in. Not sure if they have wifi.

Independent locally owned amazing place. I love this slice of Heaven. My airbnb is across the street and it’s a very expensive touristy area and this breakfast lunch place is NOT expensive. I loved my USA bacon egg and cheese in an English muffin. The owners are alway there greeting people and are wonderful. The kombucha is great and they have the best Panama chocolate cake that is out of this world. My coffee was great and this restaurant has everything.
