My daughter and I came here for supper on a weeknight. My tenderloin and onion rings were great. And she loved how her kids meal came in a little car box. We will definately be back next time we are in town!

The food could use some updates. I wasn’t pleased with the food at all. I would love to give some recipes for success. a few simple things made in house would go a long way. The tenderloin was disappointing if you know about Indiana and tenderloins. My kids did not like the burgers. they said it taste like the frozen ones at walmart. My kids can be picky. Shakes was syrup. Ill keep an eye out for new advertisements and updates. till then best wishes. Its not our type of food.

Second visit here and again had a great meal. My wife had a BLT and I had the pork fritter sandwich. Oh and the orange soda tasted just like an old school orange soda. That means real good. We will be back again soon.

They say, “you can’t go back,” and it’s true. It was the first time we’ve been to Kunkel’s since ’78. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere inside was way cool. On the outside it was still as cool as ever. The food was just OK, it wasn’t bad, just not great. The tenderloin wasn’t the tenderloin we recalled from our younger years, this one was basically flavorless. Their tenderloin in the past was big flat and thin extending outside the bun. The Kunkel burger was just OK, just not as good as I remembered as a teen. On the other hand the Deep Fried Mushrooms and Onion Rings were better than we remembered. The chocolate Coke and cherry Coke was refreshing as ever.

I bought supper for my family. The burgers were burnt around the edges. We were over changed and half our order was missing. The milkshakes tasted like nothing. Like lightly flavored ice. I am so disappointed. We have had good meals from there before, but this was a total disappointment.

I ordered the Giant KLion and taste good. They also have this strawberry Soda wasn’t my favorite but my husband likes it. Place is clean. Service is good and all the crew are nice.

Food was alright, the pork loin was probably the best part aside from the marshmallow soda that you can get. The pie was alright and seems to vary day to day. It’s a seat yourself establishment. You can also park outside and order like old time drive-ins used to be. Well recommend if you want something different than the typical chain restaurants.
