If I could give zero reviews i would. I purchased an assortment of the large pastries and they were all bad. The Canoli, Teramsu, A cream filled pastry were all nasty. The cream, milk was expired. When I called the lady owner she said, I don’t know if the fridge is working. It’s your job to know. Didn’t offer for me to return them. Terrible desserts and worse customer service. Explains why they are a cash only establishment. Never again.

My family loves the bread from this bakery, unfortunately the woman that takes our order is rude and unfriendly. She is very short with her answers. Throws the bread in to the bag demands the money without a smile. I wanted to buy cookies but I felt like I was an inconvenience which is funnny bc I’m there providing them business. After pay, she took the next order from the costumer behind me and she was a totally different person to them, she was smiling and being friendly… dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde… Super unwelcoming. A little grace goes a long way… please be nicer to your costumers

Only reason i went here is to support small businesses.. this place isnt that great. The guy is short when it comes to explain the baked goods. The selection is rather limited. The serving size is 1/4 or a actual serving. All baked goods are cold, not room temperature, not warm but cold. The taste quality isnt that great, kind of a neutral flavor. The consistency of the cream fillings is good tho.

Great bread and really good cookies and other baked products. It’s a small world. Their bread is so good it reminded me of bread my parents used to buy in Knickerbocker, Brooklyn when I was a kid, in the 70’s. To make a really long story short, as it turns out, my parents were buying bread from his parents at that very same bakery in Knickerbocker years ago! Reunited once again with awesome bread that I haven’t had in 45 years! Amazing stuff. Best Semolina on long Island, hands down!

The bread here is excellent. My mom has been buying this bread since they were originally on Franklin Avenue.

The down side is, they don’t slice bread anymore. Sometimes I like my Italian bread sliced so that I can make mini sandwiches.

I gave a large bill to pay and they acted as if I gave a small bill to pay. Tried to convince me otherwise but I know what bill I handed to them! Back and forth that went no where. Won’t be supporting again.

The only thing the security footage validated was that I paid. Which wasn’t the issue here. However it doesn’t show what bill I paid with. Once you zoomed it the clarity of the video blurred.

This isn’t just any bakery, it’s a little slice of Sicily in Franklin Sq…..Family owned & operated, from the various hand made breads to yummy pastries and cookies even to the mouthwatering cakes & pies. ALL made with not only the best ingredients but also with a dash of love by the master baker…. Stop in for a special espresso and maybe a pastrie or two…. Relax & ENJOY !!!! CIAO…
