The green salsa was AMAZING! We had endless baskets of chips. The waitresses were really sweet and attentive. Definitely got food for our money. Fajitas ACTUALLY had meat and not straight peppers. It had a very cute ambient. Very fiesta themed! We found our new favorite spot.

Sitting here as I am typing. Food: 10/10 atmosphere 10/10 drinks: 10/10 They have a salsa bar that includes lettuce and sour cream (most places charge for it). Highly recommend! Has become a go-to spot!! Sorry, no pictures of the food…..it was that good!!! Y’all go check them out for real!!!!

Should of known when the shopping center across the street was packed on a Saturday night but the restaurant was completely empty! Service was terrible. The waitress never came once to check how we were doing. Chips never refilled and the bean dip had no flavor. Took too long to bring out our less than appetizing dinner. My daughter’s burrito was wrong but we never saw our waitress after the food was delivered. Very tasteless Mexican food.

I’ll lead with saying, best tamales in the county. I ordered tacos as well, they brought me meat in a soft corn shell… Its kinda like, dress your own taco with whatever you want here. The steak wasn’t fresh, it’s like the same meat they use for everything. That part was disappointing… I was expecting some like sliced medium rare skirt or flank steak and it was just chopped well done steak from some unknown cut of beef (I hope) with a glossy grey hue to it. Food is relatively cheap, this is my second time here. Last time everything was just OK and this time much the same. They seem to take pride keeping the place clean. Still, I have no reason to come back. It’s just ok. You can get just ok just about anywhere. Unless you’re in the mood for a Tamale, than I suggest you get one here.

I think this is as Mexican as it will get in South Carolina. But surprisingly, it wasn’t too far off for this CA girl! Chili Relleno in CA is called Pasilla peppers here in SC. Same thing I know, but it was just interesting the differences between West and East coast. The CA burrito did not have French fries or sour cream which was kinda disappointing, but oh well ♀️, ill get that when I’m back home. The horchata was pretty amazing, and the avocado salsa was my favorite. Overall, good food and great service.

I honestly would never eat here again. The cleanliness or the lack thereof is very unsettling. The “bean dip” clearly had water in it to stretch it I assume. Absolutely horrible. A piece of hair was matted on my plate when they brought it out and the cutlery was wrapped in stained napkins.

The food tasted rotten and old with no seasoning. The next day we looked how much was taken out of our bank account and they took out 5 more dollars than we had put on the receipt. I do not recommend this restaurant at all, especially not to visitors like my husband and I.

Wonderful experience at La Reata. The food is definitely not texmex. Very flavorful food from good quality ingredients. The portions are mansized even for lunch menu. They do have a salsa bar which is an interesting spin on chips and salsa. The place is much larger than it appears from the outside. Does not have a lot of parking at busy times. Service for groups as large as 12 not a problem. I give it a hardy thumbs up.
