NEVER. AGAIN. I cannot understand for the life of me how you can have four people working and it take me 45—yes 45–minutes to get my to-go order. I am a grad student at KSU and stopped by here on break Monday, 8/18. There were three people in front of me when I first arrived. I literally stood in line for 20 minutes behind three people trying to order. Something told me to leave but I was already too invested in time at this point. Get up to the counter—there is some sweet girl training but she is no where ready to be on a register by herself. Her “trainer” literally stood at the back and let her drown for about the first 15 minutes til she finally walks up and gets on other register to help, but by then the line has grown to the point the kitchen is getting backed up as orders begin to pile up.
My chicken Caesar wrap is lying in the window for 10-12 minutes waiting on someone ANYONE to start handing out orders. I finally politely step to the counter and ask if the “trainer” can grab my order bc I’m on a time constraint and just have an hour for lunch. Mind you we are at 35 minutes waiting mark now with no food. She tells me that she “will get in just a minute once she finishes taking everyone’s order (at this point approx. 10-12 people!!). I have an ADA with mobility issues and she can see that I’m CLEARLY struggling to stand at the counter for this length of time. Yet I continue to wait. I let her know I also never received my drink I ordered. She responds that she will make it after she finishes making the last party’s drink order. Are you serious?? I ordered 15 minutes before they did yet you should serve them first?? Make it make sense. She then proceeds to make an UNsweet tea—incorrect drink. And hands me my food. Never once apologizes for the wait. People were complaining. There was a better way to handle the “rush” she created due to mismanagement of her time. Please re-train your “trainer” in the importance of multi-tasking and toggling from order taking to pushing the food out to guests. Absolutely awful experience. I’ll stick to the main Marietta location going forward. Photo of the line going out the door by the time I left.

Great food! Loved the half French dip & potato soup. My mom got the club & spud which she also enjoyed. Good atmosphere for lunch, at 2pm it wasn’t crowded. Friendly staff & clean… but the floors were very sticky – kinda grossed me out!

Have been coming to this place for years now. The food is always terrific! The service was a little slow (Sunday), but it seems like they only had 2 people working there. Probably going through staffing shortages like other places. Their menu really has something for everyone.

I had hair in my order. Totally understandable it happens I didn’t make a big deal about it but when I tried to get my order remade there was an issue. In order for me to remake my same order I had to write this google review and write about my experience which I feel is just completely unnecessary. I have no issue with the store itself; I’ve eaten there before. It was just annoying that instead of honoring my reimbursement then and they they want me to go out of my way to write about how poor the experience was rather than just keeping it between the service provider/customer. I just wanted my order remade.

Honestly, it’s death by a thousand cuts with McAlister’s. The service and food has progressively gotten worse over the last year and this is finally it for us.
We order McAlister’s at least once a week because at the very least, it’s delicious when you can actually get the food you ordered.
You can always count on this location to forget something – not including your pickle. It’s an actual miracle if you get the pickle.
The picture is tonight’s choose two sandwich. It used to be twice this size.
They will almost always forget a soup.
And it is an act of God to get a refund on anything. Everything has to be escalated up to a district or regional manager (I forget which one).
A lot of these issues are solved by just going in to the location, but even that comes with it’s problems. 50% of the time we’ve been into the establishment they have massive lines, not enough cashier’s, untrained staff, and my personal favorite is the debit/credit machine being down.
We have tried so hard to overlook the little issues here and there, but ultimately McAlister’s has become unreliable and too expensive to gamble on.

I’m not sure what it is, but this is the second time I’ve stood in line waiting for one cashier to assist me when there’s another young lady clearly there to help. When I finally got to the cashier, who also looked at me then looked around for her coworker who kept dancing around instead of helping me, she was nice. This establishment needs to do better. I don’t eat this tasteless food, but my client does and I deserve the same respect that he would get if he could walk into the building himself.

Very pleased that my to go order was in packaging that is biodegradable! Also that you can get steamed veggies as a side with no upcharge. Very nice! And the bacon on this sandwich was perfect.

I love the vegetarian options like red beans & rice, but what kind of deli doesn’t offer tuna salad in any form?

Placed an order to go. The girl at the register was not very nice. When I open my bowl of soup at work, found a big piece of plastic, I’m assuming they receive their soups in big plastic bags and I was the lucky one to get the corner they cut. This says a lot about them not cooking food in house and just re-heating pre-made stuff. I would like my soup without the side of plastic next time.
