We couldn’t resist adding an outdoor BierGarten to lift a glass with friends. We’re proud to be a family-owned business serving our community.

Unfortunate experience for our family group of 12 tonight, that I hope was just a one-off. 10 of us ordered steak and 8 of them were so undercooked they had to be sent back. Of those 8, 3 had to be sent back a second time because they were still undercooked. When those 3 were returned, they remained undercooked. The picture attached to this review is one of those 3. This particular steak was ordered as medium. We also had one lobster tail that was very undercooked and could not be eaten. Our poor, sweet waitress did her best to make things right, but we later found that the cook (who was also the manager/owner?) was the issue. When we asked to speak to the manager about the food, that person indicated that she was the one cooking and that we didn’t understand what medium or medium rare meant (I’m 30 lbs overweight and 46 years old…I know a properly cooked streak). She also claimed that we didn’t send all those steaks back. No apology, no accountability, and we were accused of lying and being rude. Realizing that we were dealing with someone who wasn’t operating in the same reality as we were, we paid our bill in full, tipped the poor waitress who was stuck serving undercooked meat repeatedly, and left. I hope this establishment can get these issues addressed. It’s a great atmosphere, good drinks, good salad bar, but if your cook/manager/owner/gas lighter can’t cook or ensure their patrons are taken care of when issues occur, then maybe it’s time to make a change. I’d recommend bringing your own meat thermometer and/or a microwave in the meantime.

Went to the German supper. Drinks very good, buffet was just you remember as a kid. I could here other people at tables, saying; I remember as a kid eating this at Grandma’s house! So I think it worth the drive

Terribly disappointing and a waste of money. The salad bar was the highlight. Our meal was awful. My husband had the pork chops on the sauerkraut. The chops were dry and flavorless, the kraut tasted dumped from a can. The baked haddock was blah, nothing special. It said served with drawn butter but when asked where it was the waitress said she would see if it came with the haddock, ugh the menu said it did. The spatzle was tasted like clumps of flour, tasteless. The German potato salad was nothing but hard potatoes. Honestly, don’t waste your money, I wished we hadn’t.

My wife had the worst steak (and shrimp) we have ever had at a restaurant. The steak tasted more like extremely old and dry venison. I got the Jaegerschnitzel. That was the consistency of large fatty chicken nugget with a canned brown sauce on top. Quite disappointed

My wife and I were on our way home from an event at our grandchildren’s school in Oconomowoc and stopped for a Friday fish fry. The meal was excellent. We ordered the 4 piece cod dinner which included the 15 foot salad bar. The salad bar is fantastic. It includes soup and everything else you can imagine. Multiple pasta salads and a garden salad with all of the trimmings. The fish dinner has two options. Baked or fried. My wife had the baked fish and loved it. Great flavor and texture. I had the fried fish and it was as good as the baked variety. Service was great. We had enough time to enjoy the salad bar and then our dinners arrived. Of course being at a Wisconsin Supper Club we had to have an Old Fashion with our dinner. We will definitely go here for dinner again even though it is about an hour drive from our home.

We keep coming back here for the broasted Chicken and huge salad bar. It’s a cozy restaurant with large bar, friendly attentive staff and fresh quality food. This place has the best broasted Chicken I’ve tried in Wisconsin, we can’t get enough. Definitely a 10 out of 10!

One of the Last of the Old World, old-time Wisconsin supper clubs!
My stepson went for dinner at Feil’s last night and immediately texted me about this marvelous club! So, there is nothing to do, but grab my husband and go over for brunch this morning. Feil’s did not disappoint!

The decor smacks you in the face, in a good way, when you drive up. Located right on Hwy 73N between Columbus and Randolph, it’s not easy to miss as it looks like exactly what it is, a celebration of German heritage in Wisconsin. Inside, it’s warm and cozy with beautiful, original European scenes painted on the walls, lots of warm colors, and subdued lighting. There are a couple of Inglenooks and conversation corners built right into the bar! It’s quiet and soothing, and there’s only one TV in a corner of the room…it wasn’t on, and I was happy. It took me 15 minutes to even get out of the bar area because there’s so many charming pieces to admire!

Now, let’s get to the brunch buffet. Nice salad bar with fresh fruit and veggies and several lovely little dessert choices, assuming you have room for them. The brunch menu included Denver scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, baked ham, broasted chicken, biscuits and gravy, baked pork loin, mixed veggies, and French toast made from Feil’s homemade bread!
We each had a bit of everything and never even got as far as the omelet station; which I will remedy the next time we visit. The food was excellent;nothing fancy, good home cooking. We enjoyed mimosas, oj, and great coffee.

Our server, Malcolm, was attentive but didn’t hover. He has lovely manners!

Overstuffed, over satisfied, and over the moon, we began to consider heading home. But first, our hostess, Joann Randall, who should really should be called The Docent, showed me various points of interest back in the bar. There was a huge display of original owner, Herb Feil’s, Packers memorabilia, a corner nook showcasing the Feil’s one millionth loaf of bread with a wrapper from the original bakery in Germany! Over the hostess stand is a beautiful German cuckoo clock, purchased by Herb Feil’s son and current owner, Terry Feil, and his wife on their latest trip to Germany. It is stunning! Joann also pointed out neat little designs worked into the plaster by the artisan plaster worker, who told Herb that he was bored and, consequently, plastered chicken motifs throughout the restaurant! Supposedly, there are thirteen of them, but I only found two.

If you’re a fanatic Wisconsin history buff, as I am, a German history buff, ditto, and a lover of great food and great ambiance, Feil’s Supper Club in Randolph is a place you must visit!

Friendly hostess and waitstaff but got the Thanksgiving meal to go. Very pricy for the quality of turkey roll meat! Very gross! They were out of lettuce on the salad bar within 15 min of opening had to wait 10 min for it to be refilled. Asked for a receipt after signing and was told I should have asked when giving my credit card to pay and I couldn’t get one now… after I left a nice tip! Very rude I think is the owner and it took 30 min to get a to go meal and 2 salad bar containers and pay. I was also charged more than quoted on the phone for the salad bar and when i Called to ask about the turkey and was told next time ask for different meat… and for charging me more was told I was informed wrong? no concern about my dissatisfaction and being charged more… so no thanks! Won’t be back! I would rather go to places that aren’t rude with undesirable meat and over charge.

Feil’s Supper Club is an awesome supper club with German focus. They have a beer garden and often have live polka. They have a decent beer menu and the bar tenders make great drinks, especially the ice cream drinks after dinner.

Feil’s has an awesome salad bar. They have lots of toppings, pasta salads, cottage cheese, cheese dips, liver paste, soups, etc. On our last stop the chicken and stuffed shrimp were great. Our friends got the German buffet. The service is very friendly, we have been here a few times and will be back again.
