I grew up coming here. I’ve tried a good handful of meals but my go-to is always the beef-and-broccoli. The combos are a really good deal with the rice and spring roll. I have since gone off to college and every time I return, the owner greets me with a Diet Coke which she knows I would be ordering. It’s a great place. Fast service and great food!

I ordered crispy duck and fried shrimp with vegetables and total price is $9 more than the price on menu. Owner male said the prices on menu are for dine in only and carry out prices will cost more. The taste is really good. I wish I live closer to the store but I live and work in DC.

The Red Pepper is a really good Chinese restaurant that doesn’t dabble in fusion. Often places try to do too many things and none turn out well. The Red Pepper’s menu is simple, but everything we have ever had from them tastes really good. The staff is always very welcoming and it is not often that it is super crowded so its a nice place to go with someone you actually want to talk to without having to yell.

My fiance and I dined in a little over a week ago and left feeling full and satisfied. We tried out the meat fried dumplings, the General Tso’s chicken, and the sesame chicken. No complaints there, but nothing to write home about either.
That being said I would definitely echo the sentiment that the service was not welcoming. This may have been due to the fact that we were the only group at the time, but it felt odd to be left to our own devices while the staff vanished to the back for extended periods of time.
Will definitely order from them again, but probably just for carryout. At least at home my dog is more inviting company.

They must have new owners.
We loved their food before Covid. But ordered last night for first time in about 2 years. It was terrible. Had no sauce at all. Just dry. We threw it in the trash.

Legitimately one of the strangest tasting Chinese restaurants we’ve ever tried- and not in a good way. The egg drop soup was almost chemical in its taste. Maybe too much white pepper? The hunan chicken was also odd tasting. They use onions broccoli and mushrooms and the sauce is so incredibly bland. If you’re looking for traditional Chinese-American food, I would look elsewhere, unfortunately. The staff was friendly enough and very helpful, but sadly these were not enough to redeem them for such low marks of the quality and flavor of their food.

Been going here for years. Quick and friendly service but the best part is the great tasting food! Best Chinese food around, hands-down! Try the crispy seseame beef or the sweet and sour chicken, those are the favorites in our family.

NEVER AGAIN! I order sesame chicken from here on my way home from Jared’s to get my ring cleaned. I got home and realized I was eating sesame pork instead! I guess they thought I would not know the difference! The fried rice was gross. It had no flavor what so ever. DO NOT EAT HERE! Not worth a penny!

The order arrived fast and was hot but when I put the food on my plate I began to notice spots that looked rotten. I thought maybe it was overcooked but it was slimy when I touched it. My boyfriend ate it but after the slimy pea pods I was done…no appetite. Chinese vegetable should never be slimy!!

I’ve eaten here before. The food is very good. But it’s silly that they won’t deliver 15 minutes away. I am on Cat Tail Ct in Centreville only 15 minutes away and they refuse to deliver. I offered them a huge tip and they still say too far.
