I had the pleasure of dining at Salt on Saturday night, and I can’t rave enough about my experience! From start to finish, everything was incredible, but what truly stood out was the service. Hunter, the bartender, went above and beyond. She was not only incredibly friendly and welcoming but also gave us personalized recommendations that really made the evening special.
Hunter introduced me to my new favorite Mezcal margarita – and it was absolutely perfect. Her knowledge and enthusiasm really added to the entire dining experience. It’s rare to come across service that makes you feel so valued, and Hunter nailed it.
The ambiance and food were fantastic too, but it’s the service that will make me want to come back time and time again. Highly recommend Salt, and be sure to ask for Hunter at the bar!

One of the finest restaurants in Humboldt County, with innovative and delicious seafood-based dishes that are well worth the price.
The space is light and airy, with fascinating decor, touches, and a number of super comfy, semi-circular booths. The bar has additional seating at a window, side counter, and a few small tables.
Every time I dined or drank here, the service was excellent and attentive. The wine list is well-curated, with a pleasing array of selections.
Would have been five ⭐️ all around if the person designing the menu could make one small change: annotate relevant dishes with footnotes, letting us know which dishes contain dairy and wheat. (This will save lactose and gluten intolerant patrons from having to send dishes back when the ingredients were not disclosed upfront.)
And!! Some more non-dairy dessert options would be very welcome… Because then I would come more often, and spend more money.

A lovely dining experience. A nice atmosphere with soft lighting inside. Outdoor seating was also available. The scallops were some of the best my mother or I have ever had ($42 includes 4 large scallops, two sides and a dipping sauce). The scallops were huge and cooked immaculately. The clam chowder( $12) was good,, not great. The oysters were sub par and we were disappointed in the very small size and preparation but they did seem fresh (1/2 dozen $24). The melon feta salad was fun and interesting although it was missing the pistachios it still was very good ($17) Our server Iris was attentive and sweet.

Went for happy hour. Was pleased with variety of small plate options. Drinks ordered were good. Ordered fish, chips, calamari, and a salad. Fish was fried and NOT well prepared. There was more coating than fish. Calamari too salty, sent back. Salad okay. Ordered bread basket to go with salad. Finished our meal then received bread. Can’t imagine what took so long as the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Patio seating is nice under heat lamp, BUT don’t look down at filthy ground/patio floor. Frustrating experience here. Not impressed.

Not happy with the service at this place. They claimed they don’t allow for people to order out because they were busy,(it was a Tuesday evening) which was suspicious, then they also said that half their menu was unavailable. I didn’t believe any of it. It seemed like they didn’t want my service so I left. There are other Italian restaurants nearby. I was better off going to those other restaurants. The decor was nice. That’s the only nice thing I have to say about it. I wanted to like this place when I first saw it, but it seemed like they didn’t want us there.

Hubby brought me here for a romantic date night and it did not disappoint. The service was alvery focused and attentive. The atmosphere inspired our own creativity, and the food… words can not describe how truly delicious their dishes are, order mains or follow our lead with a couple appetizers and 1/2 dozen raw oysters. Either way you will not feel robbed by their serving size, and I guarantee you’ll want to come back for more! (Especially for the clam chowder)

Loved this place so much we tried to come back the next day! The food is freshhh and delicious! Happy hour deals were great and highly recommended. It seemed to fill up fast, and had no tables available the second day we tried to come by, so reservations to be sure. Nice selection of local beers and drinks. Fast and attentive service from the wait staff. Cute decorations and vibe with table and bar seating. Wish this place was closer as I’d be there all the time!

Came in at 4:30 pm so they only had the “Happy Hour “ menu of food. Quite disappointed with the limited food options . Their main menu doesn’t open until 5. We had garlic fries and fish and chips. It was good for what it was – fried food that came out of a freezer and fried. Good service and cool atmosphere. Not sure I would be back though.

Top quality. Great food. Servers were thoughtful responsive and kind. Food was delicious unique and beautiful. We sat outside and it’s been hot this July but we didn’t fry in the evening shade. The risotto was too salty, but we sent it back and it came back and was incredible. It ended up being my favorite dish that we got. True gratitude to our server and the kitchen that did right by our request and made sure their dish was perfection. The special salad was fresh and cooling. The poke was really delicious and unique with crispy wonton chips and great quick pickles. The cioppino was delicious and had a generous portion of fish, muscles and prawns. Our mixed drinks were beautiful and delicious. Smoke show was a true homage to great smoky mezcal and green flash was a cucumber palate exciter.

The atmosphere is really great and I got outside seating and I was worried that it would be cold, but the heaters are good and they offer blankets if needed. The food is good! I got the fish and chips (with scallops and shrimp). The fish was great, but the fries were a little lacking. The chocolate torte was fantastic! I definitely want to try it again!
