My partner and I have been coming here regularly in the 8 years we’ve had a home in this neighborhood. The food is excellent. The service is quick. My go-to is the taco plate with chicken, his is the burrito with adobada. Today, 2/14/26, was the first time I had a bad experience. There was a new young lady working the cash register, and it took a few tries for her to notice me. She took my order, my usual, then took my boyfriend’s. Which he had to repeat a few times. Then when our food was ready, it was only his burrito . I reminded her that I had placed an order for the taco plate with chicken, and she said “I only rang in the burrito”…???? Idk who this lady was working tonight, but this has been the only bad experience we’ve had at Taqueria La Fondita

I got the 6 taco plate which comes with a can of soda. I got 2 chicken, 2 birria, 2 carnitas. Carnitas was my favorite.

Well unfortunately it’s like any other food truck. Set aside by its deficit of friendliness and good quality food. They mask their lack of customer service and communication by adding so much hot sauce to their very simple carne asada, which is nice don’t get me wrong it has a nice fat to meat ratio. At least it doesn’t taste like you’re chewing on silly putty. For real though their food is usually pretty good and well priced considering the 10 mile radius from the Tacoma mall. Honestly the only reason why I’m giving it any stars is because of the quality in the carne asada. Other than that, I will continue hunting my friends.

Honestly, hands-down, one of the best Mexican spots around!
The food was great. I had a torta de birria And un guisado con arroz y frijoles. 10/10 would come here again!
The price is definitely worth the food! Customer service was excellent and they are friendly

This taco truck is a hidden gem for authentic Mexican flavors! Their specialty, tacos de tripa, is an absolute delight. The tripe is perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with savory goodness. Each taco is an explosion of flavor, especially when paired with the fresh salsa and toppings. The tacos are made with love and care, showcasing the true essence of Mexican street food. The friendly staff adds to the overall enjoyable experience. Whether you’re a taco aficionado or eager to try something new, this taco truck is a must-visit destination for a mouthwatering and unforgettable culinary adventure.

Best tacos in Taco-ma! Enjoyed getting a variety of tacos in the 6-taco plate — tried the pork, chicken, and steak. All were delicious but a little on the spicy side. The seating area is interesting as you are surrounded by walls covered with bootlegged DVDs.

I drove by Taqueria la Fondita and felt the urge to get some tacos. The staff were very warm to greet me, and answered any questions that I asked. I only live a few minutes away so I expected the quality of the food to stay intact. I was more than happy to have those expectations blown away. The tacos themselves were of high quality, and the meat and toppings were excellent. I also ordered a horchata, and I’m excited to say it was fantastic as well. If you’re in a bind and craving Mexican food, this place will not do you wrong. I can’t believe it took me this long to visit this place.

The food was good and decently priced but I went today and the prices went up the food changed and it wasn’t half as good.

Ordered a burrito with carne asada. Meat was dry and gristly. The burrito was absolutely enormous. No vegetables to speak of. Area is sketchy – there was one guy passed out next to the truck, and another one waving his arms and dancing in the middle of the street. Seems to be popular with tweakers who have the munchies.

This place used to be good but tonight our tacos and sopes were not good and given to us in a wet mess in plastic bag that leaked all over the place. They had so much unnecessary liquid that my sopes looked like soup.
