What a cool place! We stopped in for dinner and had the Indian Tacos. Never had anything like that and they were delicious. They are huge and piled with toppings.

Bartender was very cool and nice to talk to. Chatted up a few other patrons. The place seems to have an atmosphere that promotes friendly conversation.

I have lots of great memories from Badlands National Park, but almost all of those great memories are overshadowed by the smell of the terrible farts I got after eating at this restaurant. It led to so many arguments with my wife. I’m not even trying to be funny while writing this review. The Indian tacos were not good. Everything ingredient you could tell was super cheap and low quality. The ground beef may have been dog food, it wouldn’t surprise me or my stomach if we found out that was the case. My wife wasn’t any bigger a fan either. She felt super bloated after eating here. And the tacos are so expensive! Just $20 for 1! We spent $40 to have terrible farts for 2 days and an upset stomach. They also made the tacos in a food truck, which I find really strange since it seems they have a kitchen in the back. Maybe they drive all the Purina ground beef away when the inspector comes into town. I don’t know. Just try the Indian tacos at cedar pass lodge or get tacos at Katie’s Katina, this place is not worth it. It also did not seem family friendly inside, unless you and your kids roll up in a Harley Davidson.

What a great place to go to dinner and drinks. Dean at the bar made us feel like a part of the LuLu family. (See the wall of photos on the wall for LuLu’s family history. Yes, horses were allowed in the bar years ago.) LuLu makes an Indian taco with fresh made Indian fried dough. It was fantastic. You want to order a second one. Come to LuLu’s for a family meal worth the calories. And Miss Kitty is the sweetest girl.

We stopped at Lulu’s for lunch and a beer after exploring the badlands. The Indian tacos were great, beer was cold and the service was amazing. Super friendly owners gave us some history on the town and the family. Also gave us a great recommendation to stop at the rest area by the Missouri River. There is a Louis and Clark exhibit there, beautiful statues and views of the river. Make sure you stop at Lulu’s!!

Simple bar with a small food selection. If you plan to drink your dinner, there’s a lot of options.
You feel like you walked in a different world…

Deano made us feel like family as soon as we walked in the door and kept the old country rolling on the juke box. Great conversation with Deano and patrons. We mistakenly left Lulu’s to check out The Wagon Wheel and quickly returned to Lulu’s. I stood outside the screen door of the food truck and talked with Lulu as she prepared fresh fry bread and walked with her down the block to feed corn to the mini horses and donkey a neighbor owns. These are real, good people and they welcomed us like old friends. This bar is a gem in the sandy badlands and we can’t wait to go back. If you just need a snack ask for cinnamon sugar fry bread – not on the menu.

We saw this bar on our way into the badlands. We were desperate for food and our planned stop was closed due to the heat. We noticed a sign for Indian tacos and decided to try them – we were NOT disappointed!! Those tacos by Lulu are spectacular. Cool people, full bar, tasty food. Thanks for saving us in the 102 degree heat!
