We met up with some Friends who recommended Paul’s Pub to us for dinner. What a great place for great food in a friendly atmosphere. I had fresh perch and chips and my wife broasted chicken. The waitress recommended the soup of the day and I had a cup of fresh, home made mushroom soup. It was very good! Both meals were delicious. Our waitress was very courteous and friendly. Our dinners were served promptly. Paul’s is a new restaurant for us we will definitely visit again when back in the area!

We absolutely love the menu at Paul’s Pub, the atmosphere, and how genuine the servers are. Eating out on the covered veranda during a warm summers eve is so relaxing! But it’s also a great hub of entertainment and activity for Joburg! Paul’s Pub is definitely a piece of local history, and without a doubt, it’s a cornerstone of the idyllic town of Johannesburg, Michigan!

Great American Bar food. The prices are fair, the food is made with quality ingredients, and the service is fantastic! It’s off the beaten path but worth the drive from the nearby cities – try somewhere different. They have an amazing fish fry selection including Bluegill which is a great seasonal treat. I assume they take care of their grease which makes everything taste that much better compared to dirty/burnt grease at other locations. They have a large menu with all different selections; typical gotta catch them all menus which is great for a group. We always come back and will be back soon.

My husband and I went to Paul’s Pub to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Emily was our waitress and she provided the best service ever, she was so kind and efficient. The food and drinks were delicious. We look forward to coming back and hope to see Emily again!

My sister and I are on a road trip, and got hungry and decided to stop at the next place we saw. What a great lil spot! We had the Ahi Tuna appetizer it was SO GOOD. And then split the Perch dinner and really enjoyed it. It’s delicious, lightly battered, and so flavorful. Service was top notch. Definitely stop here if you’re in the vicinity.

We celebrated our friend Paul’s birthday…and it was FABULOUS! The food was delicious…our waitress was great…the highest compliment for the peanut butter pie…Special of the month dessert! We drove from Houghton Lake to Paul’s Pub because of the name….and we will be back because of the food, staff, and very clean and cozy atmosphere!! Pictures are of the 2 Paul’s.
