The menudo was ok. It needed more salt and it was served with lemons instead of lime which was weird to me. The handmade corn tortillas were really good though and so was the sweet tamal.

Everything is true about this restaurant, best carnitas in the area no doubt. Stopped by for dine in lunch and got the Carnitas platter. The amount of food was way more than I paid for! They ask which cut of carnitas and was super fast. The restaurant inside is beautiful too. Please do yourself a favor and visit. Thank you!

Great little neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Doesn’t try to do TOO much like similar genre restaurants do. but excels in what they specialize at. Fair prices, excellent service (coco was our server both times that we’ve been there) fantastic food!
We are rooting for your success.

Delicious food and great service. The atmosphere is mellow and spacious. There is a tv, beer and great Mexican food. We ordered Albondigas soup, cheese enchiladas, and carnitas tacos, which are $5 for two on Tuesday. The tortillas are homemade too.

I came here for carnitas since the place i normally go to is closed for the holidays. I can tell you the price was a lot cheaper but you know what they say you get what you paid for. And the food is edible. Although I wouldn’t ever purchase from this place again. No flavor. Lack of quality when it comes to the carnitas.

The food here is delicious but y’all won’t get 5 stars from me until you start remembering to put EVERYTHING I ORDER IN THE BAG. I drive too damn far to have to worry about untying everything and opening it up just to make sure I got my extra tortillas or onions, cilantro and lemon for my pozole or albondigas. The food is bomb every time.

Carnitas El Brother is very good for a number of reasons. For one, the food is absolutely fantastic. I often don’t even like empanadas but I can’t get enough of the empanadas here, and I’ve had them several times. The crunchy tacos are wonderful as well. You won’t go wrong with any meat but, WOW, try the namesake carnitas!
Secondly, they have a well thought out and well executed system to keep everyone safe.

Came here because of the star rating on Google and disappointed to say that it is completely unwarranted. Mediocre service at best when the restaurant was pretty much empty. The Horchata was so watery, which was a little off putting, but it was still palatable enough to drink. The chips were overcooked, no biggie since they were free. Then our meals came out and it was just downhill from there.
I ordered the asada fries. The fries were all undercooked and soggy but a decent portion of the little bit of cheese they sprinkled on it was burnt. The guacamole that comes with it was actually just chopped avocados and tomatoes, no real flavor to it. Not worth the effort to eat soggy cold fries.
My husband ordered a California burrito and it was cold in the center. When our server finally came to check on us we told her how bad everything was and her solution was to offer to reheat the burrito.
Overall do not waste your time or money here. Between the terrible food and the lack of customer service, you’re better off literally just about anywhere else.

Don Rogelio makes the best carnitas in Port Hueneme.. If you want the real thing, carnitas de Michoacán Mexico, this is the place.. Now, the rest of the menu is excellent and very authentic, hand-made tortillas should I say more. Don’t believe me, come in and enjoy for yourself.. I’ve been coming here since the opened and continue coming because I want to make my food soul happy, and I recommend you do the same. Like always, sisters and brothers enjoy good food, and God bless everyone. Merry Christmas and happy new year..

Awesome Carnitas Place in Port Hueneme, finally! I had the Carnitas plate (1.5 lb of Carnitas with or without pork skin, your choice, rice and beans, warm delicious tortillas, and pico de gallo with some veggies). It was all very delicious and I will come here again. They serve you hot crispy chips with pico de gallo plus red and green sauce. They were super tasty, almost addicting. Their Jamaica tea drink was a little too sweet for my taste but everything else exceeded expectations. The locale also has a nice feel, but would feel even better if they played music instead of the TV.
