Avenue Shabu Shabu in Bella Terra Review – Facebook
Reviews
You have solid choice of meats for basic and premium. Sushi is meh, for lunch I would get regular vs premium.
Sauces for me for whatever. Tangy BBQ was the best.
Kinda has a hipster modern vibe. With upbeat music playing.
Soondoboo broth was good, not spicy at all.
Service was great. Brought out meat quick. Only meh things was their seafood section, everything was frozen, like solid frozen together.
I would repeat, I’m told it gets busy at dinner time. Parking was a pain even early in the day. Lot of restaurants and Costco near by, might have to park in the structure next time.
Adding photos of menu only, enough pictures of interior
$30 ish for lunch with tip.
The staff are extremely good at making sure you can order meat. We never had to call a staff member over. There is a maximum of 3x meat per person but this was never an issue.
The only complaint is that the sushi kind of sucks. But its optional, so it doesn’t really matter.
Ordered the premium. They go through different cuts of the wagyu throughout service so your experience may vary.
I would come back.
First impression: Bright, modern, and spacious. Super clean and comfortable dining environment.
⏰ We went for their weekday lunch (Monday to Friday before 3pm) which comes with a 1.5-hour time limit. There are two lunch options:
Regular Lunch ($23.99): appetizer + 8 kinds of meat + self-serve bar
Premium Lunch ($27.99): appetizer + 9 kinds of meat + self-serve bar (includes sushi)
Their meats (beef, pork, chicken, lamb) are sliced really thin, about 3-6 pieces per plate. Quality was good, and all meats are made-to-order from the kitchen. Just mark your selections on the paper menu.
Note: you can only order up to 3 meat options at a time per person.
It’s an individual hotpot style with 11 soup bases to choose from. I went for Tom Yum and my friend had the Szechuan spicy broth. Both flavorful and worth trying. Miso and the basic original broths were decent but nothing mind-blowing.
They also offer 6 appetizers (one-time order only): Korean japchae, tteokbokki, fried chicken, fries, spring rolls, and fried dumplings. Portion sizes were small so we ordered everything to try. Totally recommend doing that!
Self-serve bar highlights:
• Two sauce stations with 13 sauce options
• Noodles, fresh veggies, mushrooms, meatballs
• Seafood (shrimp, fish slices, clams, mussels etc.)
The overall selection is smaller compared to many hotpot places in Asian plazas, but everything here felt fresh, clean, and well-prepared, which I honestly prefer over endless choices with questionable quality.
Drinks, alcohol, and Korean ice pops are extra to pay for.
♂️ ♀️ Staff were attentive. They cleared plates promptly and asked if we needed broth refills without having to wave them down. Big plus!
Restroom was clean.
Also love that their plates are not plastic ( it’s metal material) which adds to their elevated feel.
Overall, I’d say Avenue Shabu is a solid new hotpot spot with a clean, classy vibe. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

The meats were fresh and lean, with some of the cleanest tasting lamb I’ve had for an AYCE spot! The meat menu is nice, but real highlight is the options available at the bar! There are tons of frozen seafood options, and an excellent array of vegetables to choose from! There are few places where I can enjoy clams, lamb, beef, and scallops to my heart’s content while also eating a day’s servings of vegetables!
My only real negative about this restaurant is the pho broth which was highlighted in many video reviews I saw before coming here. The pho broth was… extremely disappointing if I’m being nice, and gross if I’m being honest. “Sour” was the strongest flavor for the pho broth with a hint of sweetness, and it completely lacked the beef, onion, and spice flavors of what one would expect from a pho. I suggest skipping it entirely.
Instead I would go with the tonkatsu, which was a milder and less salty (perfect for shabu session), the chinese herbal broth, or the sukiyaki.
We tried the Premium Dinner $36.99 for weekend dinner 1.5-hour limit.
Meats : beef, pork, chicken, lamb are thinly sliced and made to order 3 options per person at a time .Hotpot is individual style with 11 soup bases.
Appetizers one time order: Korean japchae, tteokbokki, fried chicken, fries, spring rolls, fried dumplings. Small portions but worth trying all.
Self serve bar: 2 sauce stations 13 sauces, noodles, fresh veggies, mushrooms, meatballs, seafood.
I like their sushi was fresh and tasty.
Selection is smaller than other hotpot spots, but everything is fresh, clean, and well prepared quality .
Drinks, alcohol, and ice pops are extra.
Service: Attentive staff, plates cleared promptly, broth refills offered.
Overall: Solid hotpot spot with a clean, classy vibe. Definitely come back
We did the premium menu option which is $36.99. It includes wagyu and ribeye plus sushi rolls. Meat quality is great. Get the wagyu, ribeye and pork belly. The sushi rolls are also great and get at least one of each different one. The seared roll was my favorite.
I love all the broth options. We got pho and tonkatsu. Next time I want to try either the house curry or something spicier than what I got.
There are a lot of great options at the self-serve bar. The seafood options were plentiful including blue crab, shrimp and crawdads.
We had a great meal and cannot wait to come back!
