We went on a Friday afternoon and were extremely disappointed. The BBQ pork was dry (didn’t taste fresh) and the brisket was blant (unseasoned) but tender. The mac and cheese wasn’t great either, and while the collard greens were fresh, they weren’t seasoned at all. The best side dish was the fried okra, mashed potatoes and hush puppies, they were good and hot!

My friend and I were in Lynchburg for the weekend, so we came in to blue Ridge BBQ for dinner on Friday evening. I had an open faced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra and collards. It was wonderful. Our waitress was great, too, providing excellent, attentive service. We enjoyed our meal so much we came back the next day. I had fried catfish, smoked Mac & cheese and fried okra all of which was outstanding. We had the same waitress again, so we were happy campers. I will be looking for other opportunities to visit Lynchburg to have an excuse to go back to Blue Ridge BBQ.

I have never given a bad review online before but I needed to put this picture out here. We got a to go order of brisket and essentially what we got was a well done steak…I expected way more for the price. To top it off they forgot to pack my wife’s Mac Salad side. I wont be going there again.

I have been seeing often on their Facebook page that they offer Brunswick Stew and as much as my wife and I love a good Brunswick Stew, we decided to get 2 quarts for dinner tonight and needless to say we were not disappointed not one bit, in fact this was probably some of the best Stew that we’ve had.
It’s made in house, it’s very thick (just as Brunswick Stew should be), they use quality ingredients and it’s definitely unique compared to the stew you get at your local fundraiser or fall festival and I mean that in a very good way.
I’m not sure if this is a daily menu item but they do advertise on their Facebook page when they have it so if you haven’t tried this delicious stew yet then you are are missing out. Grab a quart or two it’s worth every penny.
My advice to whomever make the Stew! Don’t change the recipe, keep it the same and especially when in season, keep it coming! This was our first time trying their Stew and trying Blue Ridge BBQ in general and Lord willing it won’t be our last.

I have always loved blue ridge bbq. I should have left a review sooner. Their menu is top to bottom great with fair prices.. but tonight I had the best brisket ive ever had, and I used to manage Small Batch Barbecue here in lynchburg. Amazing. I also have lost about 80 pounds with the carnivore diet by eating here on the very regular. Eat here!

I got the cheesey BBQ sandwich. The sandwich was okay, but there was a lot of grease. The tater tots were good, but the onion rings weren’t. The floor is sticky everywhere. I’m not sure why. The salad bar is not there any longer, and I used to enjoy that.

Good people, nice place, sticky floor, and the food was good.
Just make sure if you don’t like spicy food to tell them. Made the mistake of not saying to them to not make the BBQ spicy.
Still will always recommend, and will definitely go back again.

Very very very good, bbq beef I’ve had in a long time, that I didn’t make myself. Not motivated to post reviews too often, but today was exceptional. Appreciate the time they took (without request) to trim the fat to nearly nothing. Nice smokie taste, and lean. Sweet bbq sauce on table, as well as tomato vinegar, and mustard based. Prefer the sweet, but the other two are good too, just my personal preference. Staff was friendly, and entire place was CLEAN including bathroom! Quick service too!

Fast and friendly service. We had the pulled pork barbeque sandwich and the chicken barbeque sandwich. Both were very good. Also had the hot fudge sundae brownie for dessert. Delicious.
