Weekday show at The Bourbon . We were under major time constraints and didn’t want to miss the opening band. Pickleman’s is right across the street and always gets our sammiches out quickly! Italian for my husband and Veggie, extra olives (of course), for me. It’s been awhile since we’ve stopped in and they changed their pickles. I didn’t like the new ones … too sour. Yummy food and made it to the show on time!

I ordered the half Cuban sandwich on white and a asiago ceasar salad… OMG! I highly recommend this place! That sandwich was so freaking delicious… definitely going back! The dressing on the salad was amazing as well… it made the salad!

Pretty disappointing for a simple order. Barely got acknowledged when I got there, I think the girl who worked there just didn’t care. Added xtra bacon for my BLT n I think I got like 4 pieces? total. Very underwhelming sandwich n meal for how much I paid and tipped.

I called ahead to ask if my order could be edited to remove a few ingredients and if the price could be adjusted accordingly. I was told no—no changes and no price adjustment—which was frustrating, especially for something that should be simple.

This isn’t a one-off experience either. Every time I come in, the customer service feels cold and passive-aggressive. I’m always respectful and polite to the staff, but the attitude I get back makes it seem like customers are an inconvenience rather than the reason the place is open. The overall vibe is bitter and unwelcoming, which really takes away from what could otherwise be a decent spot.

I don’t expect special treatment—just basic flexibility and professionalism. Unfortunately, that’s been consistently missing here.

Sandwich was not correctly made. Made comments about food that disuaded customer from liking their meal. Very uncomfortable environment employees were bickering and made a tension heavy environment. $2 pickle was smaller than a pointer finger. Down at the register it was very unorganized. After getting into my car I realized I was not given the correct amount of change. I would have gone back in and asked for my change but the negative environment that was cultivated by the employees made me feel like it wasn’t even worth it. Overall, I would rather go to jersey Mike’s down the street.

The food was okay — a little cold, which is understandable with delivery — but the pulled pork was pretty dry. I ordered a gluten-free BBQ Chicken Pizza with pulled pork on half. Couldn’t even tell it was cauliflower crust.

My main concern was the communication before ordering. I called ahead to ask about the BBQ sauce to confirm if it was gluten-free and to make sure cross-contamination was avoided as much as possible. The person who answered said, “It’s full in here, I literally don’t have time.” I don’t think just because I was on the phone instead of in person my safety should have been any different.

I understand being busy, but for someone with celiac disease, knowing the brand name so I can look up the ingredients is a safety issue, not just a preference. It only takes a few seconds to check & tell me plus I would’ve been fine waiting a couple minutes for him to have had time. If there were more gluten-free options nearby, I probably wouldn’t have finished the order.

When I walked into the store I was not acknowledged or even got I contact for at least 30 seconds if not longer. When they finally acknowledged me they asked how I could help me. I asked them for a soup and sandwich combo. The lady behind the counter yelled and screamed at me and said we do not have the sandwich and soup combo anymore everything is separate now. I said Thank you and left. I could not believe how rude and intrusive she was. She could have said this in so many different ways that was so much nicer. But she did not smile at me she didn’t do anything at all to make me feel welcome. I think you need to teach your team a little bit more about customer service.

I travel from out of state but stay nearby, and I’ve been eating at Pickleman’s for many years. I try to mix in healthy foods, so I’ve gotten salads (and sandwiches). However the quality has changed for the worse.

The volume has definitely changed. As per the picture, this is how much a $14 cranberry walnut salad is (looked like this after I took it out of my backpack). It used to be completely full. In addition, earlier in the week, I took away the avocado Cobb salad, which I would not recommend to anyone. It’s simply not that good and lower quality than it used to be for the same price.

I visit Lincoln often but need to find a new place when I want a healthier option.

My wife and I stopped here on a trip. We got some salads for dinner. I was surprised at the number of employees here. They were not understaffed, they were over staffed. There were like seven employees for the four people in the restaurant. The young girl who made our salads seemed a little unsure of herself, but I think she was new. The pickle on the side (you have to get separately) was a pretty good pickle. And the iced tea was good. My wife didn’t enjoy her salad, but mine was ok. I got some good lentil chili too. I’d try it again.
