We came around 11:30 AM, so there was no line. You can order on the tablets, but if you’re paying using inKind, you have to order with a staff member. The service was amazing! The guy working was attentive to customers and always asking if they needed help. The food came out pretty quickly. Everything was good, filling, and satisfying.

Classic ($11): Comes with a double patty, American cheese, pickles, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and JABS sauce sandwiched between potato buns. I got extra pickles and grilled jalapeños, which were free of charge, and they gave a generous portion. The patties were massive. The burger was flavorful and so much better than the one on Rainey Street.

Seasoned Fries ($5): Nicely crisped and seasoned. Even better when dipped in JABS sauce.

Soda Can ($2): We got Diet Coke to wash down the food.

JABS Burger Joint absolutely lives up to the hype. I ordered the OG double smashed patty cheeseburger and it was everything a smash burger should be. Perfectly crispy edges, juicy patties, and melty cheese on a soft toasted bun. What really took it over the top was their house made JABS sauce. It is rich, tangy, and perfectly balanced without overpowering the burger.

The pickles and onions were spot on and tied the whole thing together. The pickles added just the right amount of crunch and acidity, while the onions brought a subtle sweetness that complemented the beef beautifully. Every bite felt balanced and intentional.

And the fries were absolute perfection. Crispy, golden, and incredibly well seasoned. Easily some of the best fries in Austin.

If you are looking for a classic smash burger done flawlessly with attention to every detail, JABS is a must visit. Cannot wait to come back.

I generally avoid leaving negative reviews, but I was pretty disappointed in my visit to Jabs.

This tiny burger, basket of fries, and cup of water was $15 before tip. To give credit where credit is due, the burger itself was perfectly fine, it was just tiny. The fries were $5 and are clearly pre-made frozen fries.

This was a meal for a child and I’d be less cranky if the price reflected that.

JABS Smashburgers in Austin’s Fareground is a hit. Their OG double patty juicy Creekstone Farms Halal beef with crispy edges, melty cheese, and tangy JABS sauce is pure perfection. Go for the K.O. triple add jalapeños for heat. Crispy seasoned fries steal the show, and prices are fair. Winners of Austin Monthly’s 2025 Burger Bash awards.

Perfect smash burger! The sauce is good, but not as amazing as the burgers. Crispy edges, juicy inside, and burger havgs over the edge of the bun!

I’ve been wanting to come to this location for a while now. I got a lot of recommendations to come here parking was fairly easy just had to pay for parking I’m sure there’s free spots around but it wasn’t that expensive It’s in a food lobby area that has a different varieties of foods. It was not that hard to find. We came pretty late The food was on point honestly I liked it I didn’t care for the fries I think the fries need some seasoning but the sauce there was like a sauce on the side that was really good. Overall I would come back

Excellent food and great catering service. We had the JABS team set up for a 100 person event and the team came through in spades. They worked with not ideal circumstances and weather, but delivered an excellent product. Our guests were all about their burgers, as we knew they would be given our prior experiences with their truck. Quality!

$10 smashburger comes with two perfectly cooked juicy patties, American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, and a secret sauce. My opinion – I love their melty cheese, this is basically essential to an excellent burger, the beef is high quality and all natural, and their secret sauce really brings it all together adding a bit of tangy-ness. You can tell the burgers are freshly made and you can even add grilled jalapenos for free if you want a little extra kick and texture in your burger. Add tomato/lettuce for $1 or an extra patty for $3. Validated parking for 90 minutes but you must get a receipt with the QR code, or park on the street for free on Sundays.

The OG burger was good. They serve Halal food. The Jabs sauce compliments the mild flavour of the burger. Feel free to ask for some Jabs sauce dip (they are kind to let you pick some jabs dip or ketchup from the counter)
Ask for Jalapeño to be added to your burger if you like them.

It surely feels like a well made burger.
It can look smaller in size in terms of the size of the buns and patty, but a two patty burger (OG or Classic) with some fries or three patty option (KO) should be good.

I tried the Classic Burger the other time I visited, and that was much better as it had lettuce and tomato , gave slightly more quantity in that sense. (you can order The Classic if you like lettuce and tomato)

Edit- I also tried the K.O., it felt like a good quanity to make you full. Jalapeños goes well with the burger with extra jabs sauce.
The patties were juicy and nice.

Wish they had a a combo meal with fries and drink, rather than buying it seperately.

The service was great. They take your food tray from the table after you are done.

Suggestion for the restaurant- Could place a Hand Sanitizer next to the Napkins / wet wipes with the order. The restroom could be far to wash hands on the go.

I tried the Classic Burger (Double Patty) with extra pickles and I must say it was delicious, juicy and cheesy. I would definitely recommend this burger spot to anyone visiting Austin.
