Met my soon to be husband here, great dancing, great place to meet people and start an active hobby in line dancing, the bartenders are all lovely especially Alex and Jalisha. The DJ is amazing and funny always greets us with a smile and plays us what we like. Had my birthday here and will be having our wedding after party here. So many precious memories made (halloween, New year’s eve, valentine’s day stop light party, they’re even open for christmas and thanksgiving) and free cover if you come early. Worth every penny I’ve spent and will be spending more. Thank you God for Big Whisky Saloon!!

If you want to watch a bunch of random people all dancing to a routine they somehow seem to know, come here. It’s amazing. Until it gets old and you feel dumb that you don’t know any of the moves.

It’s a good overall atmosphere. Bartenders are nice. Although, when ordering a layered shot, I was told, “Our shots don’t layer very well,” which was funny.

I can see why this place is a big hit with the locals. If you have a plethora of line dances memorized you’ll be fine. Otherwise, hope that some of them leave you space at a table or you’ll be standing all night, sipping your whiskey and wishing you could dance.

Visiting from out of state looking for a true country dance spot—this ain’t it. More line dances than actual dancing, and not even to country music. You’ll barely get 30 seconds to two-step before a rap song hits. Bar service? Slow. Took 10 mins for a beer, 15 to close out. As a Texan who knows saloons—1 out of 5.

I loved coming here, it was my favorite place to line dance. Unfortunately I will no longer be coming here since security cut me off after having a few sips of alcohol. When I asked the bartender she told me that the manager said it “looked like I was falling asleep and my friend had to shake me awake and hold me up”. I did not realize that me and my friend doing a small side to side dance meant that I would be cut off.

Maybe I have gotten too old! I very much enjoy country dancing, but country dancing to me is the two step, the waltz, the cowboy cha cha (non- line dance style), and this wasn’t it. I felt like I was in a nightclub with a country vibe. All line dancing! Not for me. But, like I said, maybe Im getting too old!

First time ever going to a country bar. And what a great experience it was. Really good energy, all the dancing is super intimidating but intoxicating to watch.. And they have a bull riding thing in the corner I gave a wide miss…

Will go back. Although next time dressed a bit more country.

Great place, great atmosphere, great line dancing but the only problem other Then no food, is the staff treats you a second rate citizen and slowly drains your money throughout the evening. Before entering you must enter your private info into ther Cpu system. Then make you pay a cover charge to enter. They have an outdated POS system that you have to physically write in your tip and total amount upon drink purchases. The problem with that is manipulation and fraud per my experience: I never leave my card to hold a tab based on bad past experiences. As a result I pay for drinks as I go. I also constantly leave the same tip every time. Hence when I checked my TA’s the nxt day I noticed a bigger tip on a receipt then I usually tip. So naturally I investigated and contacted the manager, Roger, abt my concerns. He promptly blew me off and did not take me seriously. Roger explained, sorry, we made a mistake and i am entitled to, i quote, a 5 crisp dollar bill nxt time I visit Big Whiskey. Hmmmm, I thought, disrespected and humiliated! I also thought, how many other loyal customers may have been defrauded? My concern, I tried to explained Roger, was the intent to defraud, physically alter my hand written tip to a different amount! After several emails and several attempts to request a higher authority Roger continued to disrespect me and sweep all my concerns under the carpet. As a former 35 year business owner and over 450,000 level 7 Google reviewer all I asked for was accountability and resolve but instead all I rec’d was excuses and 5 crisp dollar bill nxt time I visit??? Lmao, I think not! To all the loyal Big Whiskey patrons I implore you to ck your card statements for excessive charges and in the future, pay with cash to avoid potential fraud. To Big Whiskey, I implore you to reevaluate your staff and implement a new POS system, like most other businesses have, where a loyal customer can enter a customized tip electronically. Thus avoiding any fraud and manipulation. Be well, be safe to all and ty everyone for all your help and continued support!
