We enjoyed our time here! There’s themed nights on Tuesdays (Trivia @ 7 PM- free) and Wednesday (Bingo @ 7 PM- $7 entry). We did trivia and really enjoyed it!
With food, I’d highly recommend the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Great flavor, and we even added avocado which was delicious. The ribeye tacos (pictured below) weren’t bad, but didn’t impress as much as I was expecting.
With drinks, I absolutely loved the pineapple mule! So delicious, probably the best drink I’ve had in a while.

I had the best time and the food would have been better if I knew what to order. I ordered the nachos full order and honestly the chicken was the best so do not get beef!!! Now the service!!! When I walked in, I was greeted by the most beautiful person I think I have ever seen. She was the bartender brown hair tall fair amazing personality that just glowed!!! She was amazing!!! I would go back for the service alone. The atmosphere, I really liked it. For the area it is a chill upscale local bar in a lake town. Everyone was helpful and nice and the clientele (locals) very eclectic. We had a whole table of Mexican lesbians (butch) next to us so it’s a chill spot and obviously gay friendly. I would recommend for sure if you are there in the on or off season. REMEMBER TIP YOUR BARTENDERS!! Also this was not a paid ad I literally went to the cliff carver with my boyfriend and this was the cherry on top. I love this place and can’t wait to visit again!!!

Great place to stop and have a beer if you’re in the canyon lake area. Right off of the river so we’ve been there with our friends a few times after going to concerts at White Water Amphitheater.
They have a nice little patio outside and they sometimes have a band…. Sometimes a DJ.
They do have game nights so it’s a cool little atmosphere that you will enjoy.

We had a great time here last night! The bartender answered my question about bringing our dog inside before I even asked! Everyone was very friendly to the dog! Our waitress ( didn’t get her name, unfortunately) was super sweet and friendly. The ’80s music was awesome and the Halloween decorations inside were, too. The food was super delicious! I had the keto Kenney and my husband had a burger. I wish we lived in the area because we would be back!

Very Cool Vibe & as they like to say ‘elevated’ bar food and we have to agree. The Burgers were outstanding & you could really taste the smoke flavor in the Pulled pork which they smoke on the premises! The white Queso is made from scratch along with most of the menu items. They Also feature a Good Variety of Beers & handcrafted cocktails. Our Server & manager Shanna provided great service & the Head Chef, Mike, stopped by our table to make sure everything was to our liking. Now that’s what I call outstanding service! The cool patio is Pet Friendly and our Lil Hope enjoyed her outing! Highly recommend River Rose Tavern!

We dined here on a Friday night, around 9:30 PM. The restaurant was surprisingly empty, save for a few locals at the bar. We opted for the outdoor seating, which was quite pleasant. The food was absolutely delicious, and our waitress was incredibly attentive. I had a river rose old-fashioned, which was a delightful choice.

Great little dive bar with a HomeTown feel and a nice outdoor patio that has great Texas country music on a Saturday.
Perfect if you’re just getting off the river or if you’ve been trout fishing like my husband likes to do on the Guadalupe River below.

Food was great and came out hot and right! My Philly and sweet potatoe fries were especially delightful not to mention the nacho appetizer that was devoured by the table before i could even snap a pic it was so dang good! Beers came out cold and our server shayna was a rockstar. The fact that kids eat free Mondays and Saturdays makes this even more of an ideal spot for our family to come back to again and again.
