Excellent flavor, presentation, and service. Just appetizer and salad tonight. Amazing in-house dressing on the Caesar, flavorful fried calamari served on a bed of flash fried collards (thin & crispy) and flash fried lemon, delicious fried ravioli with marinara and/or Alfredo. My Arnold Award (will be back).

Wow! I can’t remember the last time I went to a restaurant and was blown away. Got to enjoy a pre-valentines dinner with my lady last night at Paradiso Roma. Everything was 5 star. The service (Sabrina, Aspen, and all the girls working) were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was warm. The dining area was very clean. The food was fantastic, everything we had. I don’t generally care for salads but mine was fresh and delicious. Best fried mozaarella and bread I think I’ve ever had. It did create a bit of a conundrum as we were almost full from the great starters before the entrees came. The entrees were also very delicious. All courses had a very nice presentation. The different themed menus throughout the year are a clever idea. Excellent experience all the way around. The price was a little surprising, lower than what I would generally pay for a dinner for two. Would highly recommend. Looking forward to lunch leftovers today!

I was on a work trip this week in Elizabeth City and always try to find the best local spots, avoiding chains as much as I can. After the first few days I tried Thai places and some local cafes. Food was decent but nothing to really recommend. That changed when I came to pick up some food from Proof. First off, really unique location, right on the water. The waitresses inside were very personable, telling me stories about the place and just chatting. I ended up ordering their lasagna which was rich and delicious. I wish I was able to stay and enjoy my time there because the interior was nice, music was good, and the drinks sounded tasty. If you’re visiting Elizabeth City, give this place a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

Food is ALWAYS great. Everything is quality made, especially pastas, and sauces.
This place is a cut above compared to other Italian food in this area.
4 stars on atmosphere just because noise can be somewhat elevated because of the structure of the main dining room, ie. Low, sound reflective ceilings. However, it does have a really nice location on the water with outdoor seating available as well.
We live about 45 min away in Chesapeake, but it’s always a treat when we can get here for a meal.
HIGHLY recommended!

Hands down best restaurant in EC. My wife and I had dinner there January 17. Service was excellent. Our server knew the menu, answered our questions and made excellent suggestions. Food was simply outstanding. Salads were delicious with in-house dressing which was fantastic. Main course was very well prepared. The blackened shrimp and pasta, fantastic, the chicken Marsalis, absolutely great and the tiramisu, chefs kiss. Looking forward to returning, soon.

Food was great, I had the lasagna skillet, which tasted amazing, and the Masque salad, which was blackberries, walnuts and goat cheese.

This place has potential to be great…
So far the food we’ve had from Paradiso on multiple occasions has been pretty consistent in terms of being delicious. Portions are pretty good depending on what you order…
Service has been meh in my experience – a lot of repeating requests or forgetting.
Overall, restaurant was kinda grimy. They need to clean better & change their filters regularly before they place any costumers from sitting under them.

My husband and I always talk about going here and finally tonight we tried it. We were blown away. The atmosphere was so cozy and our waitress was so attentive. The food was so so good. Great flavor and portions were good. We will definitely be back. Great first experience

Food was delicious! Definitely want to come back. Everything is scratch made from the pasta to the sauces. We had a bit of a wait but definitely worth it.

This is a great location and has very creative dish ideas. However, I found that the execution of the different meals were a bit lacking. For example, the fried fish with collard green chips looked awesome and had good flavor but both were heavy in saturated oil. This made the overall experience not that enjoyable. Maybe another visit is needed.
