My family and I have been loyal customers of Flourishing Chinese Seafood Restaurant for over 20 years. We have tried every Chinese restaurant in Langley, and this is the absolute best—it even beats out the top spots in Surrey.
It’s a local landmark with amazing history.
The Quality & Menu: They use incredibly fresh ingredients and make almost everything from scratch. If you visit on a Sunday, you’ll likely see them hand-making their dumplings! Their menu is massive; if you are craving something, they likely have it (including duck). Our “must-order” dishes include:
Wonton Soup: Simply the best.
Chicken with Asparagus & Black Bean Sauce: Always fresh and flavorful.
Salted Fish Fried Rice: Unique and delicious.
Sweet and Sour Pork & Garlic Spare Ribs: Consistently tender.
Singapore Chow Mein: Perfectly seasoned. And they’re deep fried shrimp is cooked to perfection! My mouth is watering right now thinking about it!
The Atmosphere: The decor is a classic throwback, their focus is 100% on the food. It’s a very nice, romantic spot for a date and our go-to for family get-togethers and celebrations. The family owners truly care about their customers. We have never been disappointed in two decades! Our favorite waitresses are Leslie and Amy! They are the sweetest people ever! But we love everyone there!

10/10 Chinese food in the lower mainland! Definitely put it in your “to go” list ASAP! With lots of westernized Chinese food I find it to be very greasy, this is anything but! Full of fresh and crisp veggies with flavor packed protein. All three of us came in hungry and left satisfyingly stuffed. We got the 3 person meal with war wonton soup, prawns, sesame balls and 2-3 beers for about $130. (They have BIG portions and we ended up taking home enough food for another dinner) So definitely worth it if you’re on a budget.
Service was awesome, their warm and welcoming staff really gives Flourishing its charm and makes you feel at home.
My family was intrigued by the beautiful 3D art on the wall, and found out that it was wood carving when chatting with a sweet staff member. So cool! Thank you Flourishing! We will be coming back!

Ordered take out and we really enjoyed each dish except for one . ( out of 5) we thought the other dishes tasted fresh and full of flavour. We were not expecting it to taste so good , so we will come back again for the consistency…. The chow mein was the only dish I thought was a little blah

My first time trying this place. The food was good. Ordered takeout dinner for 3, fairly priced. Quality & quantity was good & fair. The only thing me and my wife didn’t care for was the Extremely Greasy Spring Rolls!!! Pretty sure there is a discount for pickup order as I ended up paying less than what I thought I was going to. Would consider trying this place out again!

We go here fairly often as a family. The food is excellent and the people who work there are always very friendly. This last visit was no different other than it was very busy so we had to wait longer than usual, but its to be expected during the holidays. My favourite dish: Honey Walnut Prawns….now most of my family loves them too!

As always, our dinner last night was delicious. We ordered 3 individual meals for take out and the price was $51. Very cheap to feed 3 adults and 2 of us had leftovers for today. The food was amazing; hot, fresh, and so tasty! The staff are always very friendly and ordering is a breeze. Love Flourishing!

This is a very traditional chinese style restaurant with super yummy food and a welcoming family. The only disappointment in with my visit would have to be the cleanliness of the bathroom. If it was deep cleaned and maintained I’d give a better review.

My family and I ate at this restaurant for dinner and we have to say that the food here was pretty good. Although I do not remember precisely the names of each dish, I believe we ordered a shrimp and vegetable dish, a ying Yang fried rice and a beef cooked in black bean sauce dish (please see the dishes below).
Overall, the food was cooked on top of a good stove with high heat and it seems like the chef at the back knew what they were doing. The food was steaming when it came out. The food was delicious, but portions were smaller than what I have previously seen in Vancouver. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. There is ample lighting in the restaurant. There were drawings and Chinese calligraphy on the wall which added to the anesthetics of the restaurant.
There was good customer service. The waitress was friendly and kind.
Parking is limited for the restaurant. However, there are lots of nearby food and places available which is good when you want to walk around first when you are waiting in line.
This restaurant has two separate washroom for people to use. The seating in the restaurant can take around 40-45 people. On the night we ate (around 7pm), there was not a lot of people. There are lots of options to choose from on the menu, and there are combos and sets available for a selection of food.
