Food was good, would’ve liked to eat the salads we ordered but they never arrived. All good, though. Our server was very nice, and good but overwhelmed. I think you would solve most of your problems by hiring another server. There were two servers for the entire restaurant. We wouldve ordered more drinks and spent more money, but we didnt see our server for a long period of time. Better service means more money for both the restaurant and servers. You’re never going to get repeat customers with that kind of service. Well still come back and support. Just hire more help.

Very great evening at Bruno’s. Our server, Mike, was top of the line and the evening was perfect. Probably the best Italian in the area so far.

Best Italian I’ve had in the area. The food never disappoints. And theyll make you a fresh lemonade!

Pick anything from the menu, it’s going to be delicious. I’m usually one to stop eating when I’m satiated, but the food is so good here I leave stuffed because I wouldn’t dare reheat my tortellini!

After reading the reviews, we decided to have lunch. We wanted the brick oven pizza but was told we would have to wait at least 15 more minutes before we could order pizza.
So, I ordered the shrimp scampi and it had 5 medium shrimp. It did not have a great flavor as I tasted only a lemon and butter taste.
My wife ordered the lobster ravioli. She said her dish was good but not what is expected from a 40 dollar plate.
I was very surprised that neither meal came with complimentary bread.
Our bill was over 80 dollars, we had water to drink.
I had a very high expectation for the food and left disappointed.
These meals had no sides either.
I will not be back which is sad because I expected so much more.

Came in with my kids and the place was dead, was told we couldn’t eat here very rudely because we didn’t make a reservation. Their food here is terrible but my child wanted italian and it was close. The hostess was so snooty and rude. There is waaayyyyyyy better places to spend your money, we are headed to char now thankfully, I’d gladly drop several hundred dollars on a meal then spend a second of my time or money at this dump.

The food is mediocre especially for what I paid. I had lasagne and it was basically ground beef layered with noodles and a little cheese on top. No ricotta. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t a true lasagne. I liked their garden salad though. Simple but their dressing was good.

The bruschetta bread was hard as a rock, they did remake it with better softened grilled bread, we ordered 3 pizzas 2 were cold and they all had too much flour on the bottoms which over powered the flavors. Wine was delicious. Probably won’t come back. Especially for the price $104

Their authentic menu sets the stage for a wonderful Italian meal in the heart of downtown Springfield. We were eager to try this place after reading such glowing reviews, and we left exceptionally satisfied. As soon as we sat down, we were served focaccia with a blend of Italian olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
We ordered two glasses of wine: a Chianti and a Chiarlo Barbera d’Asti. Since we wanted to try both the pasta and the pizza, we decided to share a margherita pizza as an appetizer. The pizza was amazing, with the perfect balance of dough and sauce. Their brick oven allows the pizza to be cooked authentically, as if we were in Italy, and adds an extra touch to the ambiance.
With the pizza being so good, we expected no less of the pasta. My husband ordered the fettuccine alla Bolognese, and the ragù was so flavorful that he scooped up every bit and cleaned his plate with the last piece of focaccia! I ordered the daily special–penne with a white sauce (not Alfredo!), sun-dried tomatoes, and Parmigiano–which was absolutely delightful. The flavors blended perfectly.
Although we were full, we saved room for dessert and ordered cannoli. The portion came with two, making it perfect for sharing. The way they whisk the ricotta gives it a delicate texture that tastes exceptional!
Service was fast, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The location is great, right in the heart of downtown Springfield, so we could easily walk back to our hotel. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic experience–a must-visit if you’re in Springfield and craving authentic Italian food!

Overall, very pleasant. The service was polite and helpful when assisting me in making a decision for what to have for dinner. She was quick and very attentive.

The food was excellent and came out quickly. I would love to order the tortellini again. The bread with olive oil and vinegar was a nice little appetizer. The bread had the perfect texture and moisture. The lemon cake was a great finale to everything. I really enjoyed all the food.

I would have given 5 stars, except the restaurant was dirtier than to be expected for a place charging this much. I saw several fruit flies, which is always very concerning. Simply, the place could be cleaner and I would have really awarded 5 stars.

Overall I would love to come back and try something new. It was a good experience.

I visited Bruno with two friends and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. When the waiter asked, “Would you like a soup or salad with your course?” she did not mention that there would be an additional charge. The way it was presented made it seem complimentary, so we were quite surprised when we saw the extra cost on our receipt afterward.

I believe it would be much fairer and more transparent if staff clearly stated when something comes with an extra fee. We still appreciated the food and the atmosphere, but this lack of clarity affected our experience. I hope the restaurant can improve communication so future customers don’t face the same confusion.
