Brunch at Bird Dog was amazing! We were greeted with a smile as soon as we walked through the door. I ordered the Peach Cobbler Waffles and my dad ordered the Kaldona Fried Egg Press Samich. The lovely ladies checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. By the taste of the food, you can tell it was made with love. I would definitely come back here to try the rest of their menu.

I love it here. I’ve made several visits and told so many people about the food and atmosphere. They serve breakfast until 2 then lunch. We’ve had the shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles so far and we were highly satisfied with that!!

The food was seasoned well. Prepared fast and the service was great. They were very welcoming and really made an effort to see what they were doing right and wrong. If I could make one suggestion it would be to improve on food presentation. We had 2 meals and 2 drinks and the total bill was about 40 with tip and tax. I don’t mind paying that but it was served on plastic trays and tinfoil that made it seem like it was less that what it really was. If they could spice up the presentation of the food I would feel much better paying these prices. We would love to come back to try the grits!! Sharon and Stephanie were awesome 🙂

I thought that the Peach Cobbler Waffles were going to be waaaayyy too sweet . . but they were JUST RIGHT. Just the RIGHT AMOUNT of EACH SEASONING!!!! AND the grits were PERFECT – BEST EVER!!!!
The owner named her restaurant “Bird Dog” after her mother (her mother’s nickname). They are also an event center – Egenary’s Party Room – (a combination of her 3 children’s names) – BEAUTIFUL event center – spacious, clean and clean air.
The husband and wife owners and the manager bring customer service and class to their establishment and the Bartlett area!!

Great food. I had the peach cobbler waffle. Was the best waffle I ever had. My wife had the Bird Dog cristo, which was good. Their grits are amazing! I was told that they have their own special recipe. Cheryl who took care of us was very personable and gave us great service. If you are looking for upscale and fancy place, this is not the place. This place is for if you’re looking for something that is affordable and great food with friendly people.

Visited this restaurant while traveling from out of town. The service from Stephanie was so warm & instantly felt like family. We’re all vegetarians but we were able to find brunch items we enjoyed. The Peach Cobbler waffle was a standout item, a must have. I typically prefer butter/sugar grits, but her cheesy grits made a believer out of me. The food is fire
They also host events at this location with fun kids games. My daughter would’ve wanted to have her birthday here if we weren’t out-of-towners. Breakfast/brunch is a new offering at this location, so come check this place before it’s blows up & it’s hard to get in.

We went to Bird Dog for brunch absolutely starving, and it did not disappoint. Mrs. Stephanie, the owner and cook, took incredible care of our group of 10 from start to finish. The hospitality alone would bring us back.
Between all of us, we ordered the peach cobbler waffle, catfish and grits, breakfast tacos, and chicken alfredo and not a single plate had leftovers. Everything tasted like a true home-cooked meal, the kind that makes you pause after the first bite. You can tell the food is made with intention, not just put on a plate.
The atmosphere is just as special. It feels less like a restaurant and more like being welcomed into a family member’s home for Sunday dinner.
We can’t recommend Bird Dog enough. Come hungry and maybe bring friends so you can try more than one thing.
