I drove 2 hours to meet my brother who was stuck in Jacksonville with his semi-truck. He’d Googled nearby restaurants and found this one. What a find it was!!
The man and lady running the restaurant were super friendly and very accommodating. He said they’ve been open 4 months. There’s a real down-home atmosphere.
They adjusted the size of my meal and the subsequent cost to fit my smaller appetite. I ordered blackened salmon with baked potato and sweet potato fries (which came with delicious cinnamon butter). The blackening was just right–enough seasoning without being overpowering. The sweet potato fries had a delicate crunchy coating on them that so delightful!
My brother had a fish and shrimp meal with French fries and coleslaw. He got fried okra and a cup of lobster bisque on the side. We both agreed that the bisque is absolutely, hands-down the most delicious we’ve ever eaten!! So rich and flavorful!!
This restaurant is only about 6 miles south of I-10 on Hwy 301 (Exit 343) at Baldwin, FL. Do yourself a favor and drive on down to see our new friends at Tala Bay Seafood & Grill for delicious and reasonably priced food!! You will NOT be sorry!! Treat yourself! Tell them the trucker and his sister sent you.

Awesome place! Don’t let the outside scare you away, the food is really good. I got the blackened grouper parm and it was cooked perfect and had tons of flavor. The fried shrimp was also really good and cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend

The food is so good here.Food is perfectly crispy here, the shrimp had a good texture not too gummy ,the oysters were good and sauces were nice and tangy pairing so well with both.The mac n cheese is nice I like the corn too.

Been here twice now!!! Food is AMAZING…Service and dine in atmosphere is amazing as well. Got the fried shrimp n scallops 1st time and stuffed grouper now and both awesome!!!

Read reviews and had to try it, so glad we did! We had the cod, shrimp, gator tail, and lobster bisque. All were very good and the price is more than fair. It came with 2 sides and little hush puppies all was fresh and tasty. Double thumbs up on the coleslaw and hush puppies.
We were second guessing due to appearance but followed the advice of others and tried it anyways. This is quality seafood!
