The server was rude and lacked both people & customer service skills. His extremely dismissive nature to the patrons was unacceptable. The bathroom was unkempt and reeked of urine. The chef Johnny was pretty good. Overall if I could review solely on the cooking aspect only I would, but it’s about the atmosphere and making your patrons want to be REPEAT diners. However, that I’ll never be and I’d never recommend this as a good place to dine to anyone.

My family and I have been going to Kobe’s for years now. Each time I went I enjoyed the service, but to be quite honest, after a while it starts to get old and boring seeing the same thing over and over. What really change my view of them recently was when I had a bad service with one of the waiters. He barely visit the table, we didn’t receive any refills and he forgot to bring out the rice for two of our meals. I spoke to the manager about it and they told me that they were sorry and that was it. I highly value customer service and if I report that I had a bad service and all I get in return is “sorry”, then I’m also sorry to say that they’ve lost a good customer.
Overall the food is great, but that’s not enough for me to return. There are other restaurants that serves great food!

Wanted to take my family to a nice restaurant while visiting the area. Looked this place up and checked the website just to make sure. It recommend making a reservation, so I called to set one up. The girl answering the phone was rude and refused to take my reservation request, so I will take my business elsewhere. If that was the type of courtesy that is extended over the phone, wasn’t going to waste my time or money to even go. This is America’s capitol, some American professionalism and courtesy would have been appreciated.

One Word: AWESOME!!! I gotta say more. I had the steak, shrimp and scallops on the hibachi. It was the best noodles cooked and seasoned to perfection I have had. The experience was nice. The chef of the hour was right doggone funny. How you catch a piece of flying shrimp in your mouth tossed by the chef is beyond me. I was 0 for 3 on my attempts. I tried though.

The Japanese decorations were fantastic and they have a great sushi chef! He even gave us extras! Customer service is excellent and food is great! Can’t wait to go again!

This used to be an establishment worthy of 5 stars. In not certain what happened but things have went down hill DRAMATICALLY! BEFORE The portion sizes used to be so large that you had enough to easy AT LEAST twice. NOW the appetizer salad is barely large enough to make you hungry. BEFORE the main course was so large it needed 2 boxes. NOW just enough for a single meal. The habachi chefs entertain so if you want amusement that’s still there. BEFORE the drinks were so good all you needed was one. NOW if your lucky 2 will get you right! It’s unfortunate things are like this now. They do have a “help wanted” sign out. Maybe someone will HELP get this place back to how it used I WANTED it to be when I walked in. Perhaps new management had come thru to maximize profits but minimize the things that made this place great!

I came here last Friday with the old ball and chain to have a little night out, just the two of us.
The service in this Japanese joint is stellar but the food, not so much. I ordered a Kobe steak, with fried rice to share with my lady, while she ordered some of the fried shrimp.
The steak is really good here, although other than the soy sauce on it, I don’t see what differentiates Japanese steak with American steak. The fried rice was also bathed in soy sauce, so there wasn’t much flavor to it, and if there was the sauce covered it up. The fried shrimp, I must say was exquisite!
We might come back here but we’re in no rush.

The food wasn’t bad but the service wasn’t all that great you had to look for the server to place your order and another thing is they want you to pay $2.00 for the fried rice and we had 10 people at the table that’s $20.00 just for fried rice and they add Teriyaki sauce to all the meals when I requested not to have teriyaki sauce my food had to be cooked in the back. usually they use Soy sauce.

Let me tell you: they don’t need your money. They don’t greet you when you walk in, you can just wander around (great if you want a place to rush in for the restroom), and the prices are a bit high for the amount of food they serve (example: 5.25 for order of Saba–Mackerel, 2 pieces). Well at least the girl said goodbye as I was leaving.

Best hibachi on the east coast! Double servings of meat with a single order, fried rice, veggies, soup, salad, and even the noodles are included! One of my favorites, and the staff are super friendly and efficient!
