First of all, this was not a taco salad. It was a stale fried tortilla, filled with the most low quality ingredients I imagine you could source in Albuquerque. The beef was dry and flavorless – they couldn’t even bother putting some garlic powder or cumin on it. The tomatoes were cut into wedges and looked like something from a cheap salad buffet. The cheese was regular old Walmart grade shredded cheese from a bag. And who puts olives on a Mexican dish??? Insanity. To make things even better, there was no dressing provided for my “salad”. And the lettuce for said “salad” was barely present, and was the same lettuce that you’d find on a McDonald’s burger.
As far as the service goes – we had to ask for napkins and utensils as none were provided with our takeout order. I guess I was supposed to eat my salad with my bare hands? And they gave us 2/4 of the sopapillas we ordered. Which didn’t turn out to be a big loss since they were also stale and tasted like whatever oil they were fried in hasn’t been changed in the last decade.
I genuinely don’t know how you’re still in business, while serving these atrocities to people. You don’t seem to know anything about New Mexican cuisine. I sincerely wish I had gone to Taco Bell instead of here – the quality would have been better by a landslide, and that’s truly embarrassing.
