I have no idea how this place has such a good rating. How do you have the audacity to charge 15 for this absolute garbage???
First of all, this was not a taco salad. It was a stale fried tortilla, filled with the most low quality ingredients I imagine you could source in Albuquerque. The beef was dry and flavorless – they couldn’t even bother putting some garlic powder or cumin on it. The tomatoes were cut into wedges and looked like something from a cheap salad buffet. The cheese was regular old Walmart grade shredded cheese from a bag. And who puts olives on a Mexican dish??? Insanity. To make things even better, there was no dressing provided for my “salad”. And the lettuce for said “salad” was barely present, and was the same lettuce that you’d find on a McDonald’s burger.

As far as the service goes – we had to ask for napkins and utensils as none were provided with our takeout order. I guess I was supposed to eat my salad with my bare hands? And they gave us 2/4 of the sopapillas we ordered. Which didn’t turn out to be a big loss since they were also stale and tasted like whatever oil they were fried in hasn’t been changed in the last decade.

I genuinely don’t know how you’re still in business, while serving these atrocities to people. You don’t seem to know anything about New Mexican cuisine. I sincerely wish I had gone to Taco Bell instead of here – the quality would have been better by a landslide, and that’s truly embarrassing.

Wanted to take the Family out for Mexican food somewhere we have never been..so we decided Eloy’s. Wasn’t bad, tons of food with lots of extras that come with the meal. But a bit pricey. Other wise not a bad experience, staff was very friendly.

No longer owned by the same family. The chicken enchiladas were the most bland I’ve ever had..the red sauce was watered down. The tortillas were raw, some kind of cheese sauce also flavourless , no sour cream. I got a side of guacamole for $10:50 that was decent. Never again

First time eating here, the service was great, atmosphere had NM vibes, clean, & the food was delicious. I had a stuffed beef sopapilla with Xmas. Every employee was very sweet & made sure myself & table had everything we needed & wanted. Food came out in a timely manner & was stove hot. Thank you!

Arrived late and got seated immediately. Service was very good and the food was great. I love that it comes with an iced tea and a dessert if you order the specials. They also sent me home with extra sopapillas for free

The service at Elroy’s was exceptional—everyone was kind, polite, and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing! From the a la carte chicken tacos to the special plate, and the deluxe beef taco with a la carte sour cream and cheese enchilada, every dish was flavorful and satisfying. Highly recommend!

I hadn’t been to Eloy’s in a number of years so while in that part of town, I thought I’d stop in for lunch. It is under new management. The service was excellent but the food was not as good as it used to be. The salsa was excellent but the red and green chile was so so. Also the Mexican rice tasted a bit off to me, as if it may have been jasmine rice. Overall, OK but I doubt I’d go back. There are so many other places in Albuquerque.
