I’ve never tried this type of bakery before. I’m a big donut connoisseur, but I was in the mood for something different. Diana’s had a huge selection of baked goods. I liked that it was self serve. I honestly don’t remember what any of the items I picked out were called, but they were all delicious. What I appreciated the most was that these baked goods aren’t overly sweet the donut shops/bakeries that I typically go to. They also weren’t all fried items. I don’t know how much healthier they are than donuts, but they felt that way. I’m in love! I’ll definitely be back, everything was so amazing!

Profit over quality you be the judge. This Christmas season I decided to buy some tamales from Diana’s since I wasn’t able to make them myself this year; plus in the past I had bought them before with good results. WOW was that a mistake for me. One and another each tamale was missing its key ingredient… THE MEAT. There was more massa than anything else as seen in my photos. I guess Diana’s was more concerned about making profits this holiday season then good quality product. Caution future buyers you may want them to cut one open before you but a dozen.

The selection is insane, the postres are delicious, and the staff is wonderful. Maybe the best flan I’ve had in my life. Their prices are incredibly affordable too!

Diana’s Bakery is located on historic Cherokee Street and was a recent and delightful discovery for someone like me with a penchant for authentic Mexican pastries. As you step into this unassuming bake shop, you’re immediately hit with the sugary goodness smell.

The bakery has an impressive array of over 100 traditional Mexican treats. Choosing just a few items will be impossible. The conchas, with their sweet, crunchy topping, are a must-try. The churros, golden and crisp, are a testament to the bakery’s dedication to traditional recipes. Check out my haul.

You grab a glove and a tray and off you are on your journey to picking the treats that suit your fancy. The friendly staff are eager to guide you through their offerings and share the stories behind each treat.

I love making discoveries like this.

Well this year was disappointing with the tamales. 4 dozens were ordered and all were more masa than meat. I hope they do better next year or just in general with the batches the sell daily

I came to Diana’s Bakery early in the morning and picked up about 25 pieces of bread. Everything was going smoothly until I ordered tamales. I asked for half a dozen, but I was given a full dozen instead. When I mentioned the mistake, the employee insisted several times that I had asked for one dozen, even though I’m certain I said half. I tried to just switch the extra half for another type of tamale, but then I was told they didn’t have those anymore.

The situation got even more uncomfortable when the manager came over. Instead of helping calm things down, she made the atmosphere even tenser. She took over the entire transaction, and she’s the one who told me she had never seen the coupon before. When I showed her the 10% coupon which they advertise right at their register she questioned where I got it and asked why I didn’t mention it earlier, saying it should’ve been brought up before the checkout process. Applying it would’ve been nothing more than a few taps on the screen, but the tone she used made me feel judged for even asking.

At that point, the air felt very heavy. The customer service was tense and uncomfortable, and honestly, I didn’t feel welcomed. I was raised in a Mexican household where you don’t talk back to your elders out of respect, so I stayed quiet even though I felt uneasy. I truly want to thank the lovely lady who spoke up for me. She said she agreed with my thoughts and could feel how tense the customer service was. Her support meant a lot, especially because I wouldn’t have spoken up myself.

One of the main reasons I chose this bakery despite other bakeries being open was because during Día de los Muertos, they were one of the few places that had pan de muerto, and I loved that they were continuing our cultural traditions. That’s why I wanted to support them again this morning.

But unfortunately, the customer service this time completely ruined the experience for me. This will likely be my last visit.

I’m never coming back here after being waved away an hour and a half before closing. Awful service for someone that drove an hour to your store. Used to come in several times a week but literally nothing could get me back in such a poorly run establishment. Why have posted hours if you’re not going to honor them? If they don’t care enough to follow their own hours I wonder what kind of rules they don’t follow in their back of house. I’m excited to find a new place to get my goods from though, since yall lost any business from me
