Wonton/Egg drop soup was like glue. House duck sauce was much too sweet. Fried rice not bad, but cooked dishes lack flavor. I had not used them for 40 years and probably won’t for another 40.

This place is really good!!!! The soup was perfect. Egg rolls are crunchy and good and the chicken isn’t rubbery like some places can be. The rice wasn’t my favorite, I honestly thought there was too much meat in it, but not a big deal. The establishment is really clean too. The lady behind the counter was very nice. I was picking up food after working and forgot to put my mask on before I entered, so if the counter lady is reading this, sorry about that.

Only one visit so far so I will adjust if need be. Fried rice was top tier for the area. So was the sesame chicken and the lo mein. The wonton soup was pretty standard but the wonton meat was really good. I think it was ginger in there that made them stand out. My only complaint was the large boneless spareribs at 18$ were very fatty. Could have been the batch so I won’t hold that against them unless it happens again.

I’m pretty sure the dumplings, fried cheese wontons and egg rolls are made in house and they are so good! If you get anything with mixed veggies make sure you ask which kinds of veg are in it because it’s not the usual Chinese restaurant mixed veggies, lots of pepper and onions if I remember right.

So glad we found this Chinese food place in St James. We’re brand new to the neighborhood and were in desperate need of good Chinese food and these guys hit the mark. We’ve loved everything we’ve had so far and are looking to go back often.
